Father and son burned in fire

This guy is a friend of mine and my insurance agent. Tragic, but at least they are still alive.

That is sad Scott! But as everyone has said Thank God that they are ok! they will definately have a long healing process though, they are in my prayers Scott!

It´s one of those things that you wonder how come you did: gasoline to make a 'little' fire?? :brick:

I do hope they recover soon and that there is minimal trauma in the family.

Wait, I couldn't read this article because it wouldn't let me in. Where was this? Because some family friends of ours lived a cross the street from a house that exploded and the father and two sons were inside and survived!

It was in Alabama.

...and yeah, this is the season... unfortunately. So far, we have had two fires here due to the lights in the Christmas Tree. One of them was a total loss of the house of a guy who works with my brother, and he had no insurance.

I´ve always been worried about our own lights and keep checking the tree and making sure everything is ok with it.

UPDATE: The boy is stable and doing well; the dad has been released from the hospital, but is staying in Birmingham with his son until tomorrow night.

Evidently he has always started fireplace fires like this--his entire life. Not a smart thing to do at all.

I was telling my husband about this & his first words were "he used gasoline, right?" Seems its always the vapors that ignite first. (he comes from a family of firefighters) Believe or not this happens quite often. I'm glad they are going to be alright...something to celebrate for Christmas.

I'm so glad they are going to be ok. How sad that it happened. They brought them to an excellent hospital though, so they are/were in good hands (I know one was released).

Wow... I guess he was one of those who don´t mind lighting a cigarette in a gas station!
