The new Six Flags system is AWFUL!!! Words can hardly explain what I feel about it, and if I speak my mind there will be a post full of _______. I hate the system it is ridiculous!!!

I loved the fast pass system though it does seem to be a little cumbersome. Alton Towers has had it for years but its much shorter time windows and to guarantee a ride you must take a ticket. They use this system on all the main rides. Their latest weeze is to use youre mobile phone to plan youre days rides the sim card in the phone is used to give you an identity. I think this is based on rthe fact that there is a greater takeup on cell phone usage in the UK. all those teens texting away would drive me mental.

Fastpass has come a long way... despite some of the problems with the system such as the frequent sell-outs at Test Track, causing 3+ hours waits, and the need to "fight" just to get fastpasses at rides such as Splash (without individual lines for the FP ticket distribution)... the system has been a big hit with both guests and cast members. Working near Haunted Mansion, I understand that FP wasn't usually needed, but its best to have the system in place for high crowd times (such as Christmas). And as mentioned before, it helps for guests to wander into Heritage House and Yankee Trader (and everywhere else in Liberty)..its nice to have business:)
The one inprovement for the next round of FP rides (Mission:Space) is to try and have a better balance of stand-by and FP lines...whereas high volumes of FP's can be given out easily (hence beating the Test Track problem) and stand-by lines can usually be kept as short as possible (maybe setting aside vechiles just for FP and for stand-by).
One last thing, if Disney makes an effort to explain why guests can't have multiple fastpasses for the same time in guide maps, it would help CM's a lot... I can't tell you how many times I've explained it to guests...but its part of having the greatest job on earth:)

disney let resort guest use it, maybe they could use their key card between 1-5 or something, having no early entry might turn people away, even though their service is good still. fastpass u have to know the tricks to, alot of people dont get it, they always go up put the pass in, and say whats this and tell the CM its broke.

Fast Pass

I love fast pass. This past week despite the crowds we rode everyhing twice. I am glad that the majority do not use or understand it. It helps everyone that does. One trick for Test Track is to get there right when it opens and the CM's hand out Fastpasses to speed up the lines. If you have a seperate ticket from the room key show it to them anyway and they will give you a Fast Pass for your room key.

The fastpass is a fabulous idea, at first my opinion was the same as others, wait in line like everybody else! Then I caught on, but then felt guilty passing by all those people waiting in line. But the concept is the ones waiting in line most likely have a fastpass for another ride and are just waiting for their time to come up on that other ride. I hope that makes sense!
