Fastpass/scheduling plan opinions sought...

I'd love to get some expert feedback on my FP strategy as this is my first trip to WDW and I don't want to bungle the FP portion of the trip planning. I searched through the first few pages of this part of the forum and figured there'd be a thread already for this topic but didn't find it. So feel free to merge this if I missed it.

I can sign up for FP tonight for our trip beginning 10/12-10/16. My park itinerary is Mon - AK, Tues - MK, Wed - Hollywood, MK for EMH (PM), Thurs - Epcot, Fri - MK.

Will try for FP on Friday first for Anna/Elsa, 7DMT, and either Peter Pan or Belle.

As for the rest:

AK - we have Tusker House reservations at 8:40 so we'll be in (but not finished with breakfast) before rope drop. Will definitely get a FP for Everest. Want to do Safari first thing to see the animals at a more active part of the day...is it worth getting a FP for that early? Other FP: Lion King.

MK Day 1 - Will still try for 7DMT & Anna/Elsa FP, but more realistically will hope for Belle, Peter Pan with Cinderella/Rapunzel, Space Mtn, Buzz Lightyear, BTMRR as backup FP options

Hollywood - will be there for rope drop and will try to get in to RnR first. FP - Toy Story, ToT, Beauty & the Beast.

MK Day 1.5 - heading back to MK in the evening for EMH and a Bippidy Boppidy Boutique appointment at 5. Hoping to pick up a kiosk FP for an attraction we haven't done yet or for Wishes. It would be cool to see Belle or one of the other princesses with my girls dressed up in BBB attire.

Epcot: Akershus @ 8:00. FP for Soarin', Turtle Talk, and probably Nemo. Possibly Mission Space Orange for me and my older one.

MK Day 3 - (Final Day!) We have BoG breakfast at 8:00. As mentioned, I hope to have FP for Anna/Elsa and/or 7DMT already. Hope to use the bulk of this day soaking it in and getting to any other non FP rides we haven't had a chance to do at this point.

Any suggestions, changes, critiques you guys have are welcomed!

Welcome aboard and have a magical first trip! Check today to see if you can get and earlier breakfast for TH and you should be good that day. EPCOT Soarin, TT and MS are best with a fp

as far as your AK day, I have never had trouble getting into Lion King arriving 10-15 minutes before the show, not in the front of the theater, but in. We have even arrived as the show started and were seated. You might consider changing that FP to safari. yes in the mornings, that line can indeed be long.

on day 3 of MK, i would make FP reservations even if you think you won't need them- you can always change them out after you see what you accomplish the other days, but you may need them.

for MK evening, why don't you get a princess fairytale hall for right after your BBB appt if you would like your princess with the other princesses, unless she is planning to wear a Belle outift, then get Enchanted tales. both may have some availability even getting there late.

i also always recommend to newcomers, for MK , be there at rope drop and go right to fantasyland. first thing in the morning you can knock out most of it without fastpasses, and use your fastpasses for after that. of course, if you can get anna and elsa or mine train, take them whenever you can! for the other parks also, we go right to whatever tier 1 we did not get a FP for and then do our FP later in the day. for example, FP soarin and run right to test track, then do something else you want to do while it is still early morning, then start using your FP when it gets more crowded.

enjoy your trip.

Thanks, y'all. Good stuff. Good to know that I should still get a FP for Safari even though we will do it first thing.

And I should clarify that the final day I definitely will use all 3 FP, even if I don't get 7DMT or Anna/Elsa. I don't think I made that clear.

I've read that BTMRR is not worth a FP and that the line moves well, what do y'all think about that?

The only issue I see is at HS. RnR and Toy Story are both in tier 1 so you can't unfortunately get a FP+ for both. Also just keep in mind Toy Story closes about 60 to 90 minutes before park closing on most days to deal with the wait lines. The goal is to have the line done by posted park closing time.

And I agree a FP for most mountains at MK is NEVER a waste! And sometimes a must!
