Fastpass operating procedure

I searched for this and didn't really find what I was looking for. This question is mainly for CMs. Is there a certain amount of people with fastpasses that you allow on a ride before going back to the standby line? It seemed that some rides had a seperate place to get on, but I know that on some rides both lines merged.

Each ride is different. It has to do with the number of guests per hour that the particular ride can handle.

We have queued in the Fastpass line for Test Track, and have found that this line can take as long/longer than the regular standby line..:brick:

IMHO, the ONLY was to go at Test Track is Single Rider.

Because the seats are 3 across, you get a lot of families of 4 who sit 2 + 2, thus making 2 empty seats.

More often than not, my 11 year old and I were in the same car because of this when we rode single.

I took fast pass last week on ToT and the line was about 200 people longer then the stand by. We all got in way before the standby people though. I was impressed although I probably still waited 25 min
