My family and I got back in late March and the Magic Bands and FP+ worked great! we used a PIN to do all trnsactions, whicj made eating and shopping a lot easier. Compared to whenwe went last October, they have come a long way. I lost 3 hours of my trip by waiting in customer service lines in October. I knew they were in testing phase so I could not get too upset over it. In only 5 months they have come along way so i cant wait to see how well it works in May when we go back. especially if the park hopper option is added and the additional Fast Passes are available!!!

Sigh... I wish we knew when the park hopper and additional FP+ would be available. It'll be what it'll be, but that could slightly change the way I plan my selections in June.

Now coordinating FP with visiting family (who plan separately) wasn't as nice. No longer can we go up to the FP machines together and get times for the same ride together. It pretty much requires me asking "what did you book and when?" then I try to manipulate my passes to match. Do-able, but not great.

If your profiles are linked via Friends & Family lists, they can use the "Copy" function to copy their existing FP+ choices to your profile (or vice versa), as long as there are FP+ slots available for that time. (Otherwise, they can shuffle their times slightly while making yours so that you can all get the same reservation times)

I don't know if the "owner" of the FP+ time has to do it, or if you can go in there and "copy from" someone on your Friends & Family list. I haven't had a chance to play around with that function.

We are staying off-site in May and I can't tell you how relieved I am to have Fastpass+ reservations booked. The stress has lifted and I'll actually be focused on the fun and being with my family rather than having to worry if we can get into Soarin', etc. Now I'm just crossing fingers for park-hopping rather than having to scramble to kiosks after our first 3 Fastpass+ picks have been used.

As I have said in my other posts, my mind changed completely on the FP+. On our two week trip March/April, there were no problems with the bands and the fast pass lines were no longer than 5-10 minutes. Even though the queues looked a lot longer than usual, it was fast moving just as the lines for TTA are.

However, we did get lucky. We were able to park hop and select 3 more fast passes after we entered the 2nd park. Good rides like Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain were never available after we park hopped, but everything else was available. Being able to Park Hop was the sole reason my stance on the FP+ changed. If we were not able to do so, I am thinking I would have hated it as much as I thought I would.
