maybe allowing multiple tickets at once, or doing away with the paper ticket and tie it in with the room key.

All WDW guestrs use the room key if they have there Park tickets tied in with there stay at there resort. otherwise they are issued a paper ticket if they aren't

Fastpass is a great service... Here's the trick... You actually have to use some brain power to understand the full potential of the system... This can be extremely hard for many guests since it seems like they constantly leave their brain cells at home... Not ALL of them, but most!

Indeed! It is great, IF you know how to get the most out of it.

For the most part, Fast Pass allows me to experience other smaller things at WDW that normally I wouldn't have the time for. I can get my fast pass, and then for the next hour, I can go ride a smaller attraction, browse in some shops, eat lunch, rest and relax, take pictures, HAVE FUN... and then, when it's time to ride, I grab another fast pass for another attraction, THEN I go and ride the first one. Remember... you dont need to be at the line at EXACTLY that time... you have an hour span... Take that time to get another fastpass.

I once overheard some lady moaning and groaning and complaining left and right about how those ***** Fastpass people kept passing her in line, and how she'd NEVER use FastPass because it makes her wait in the standby line longer. I wanted to go up to her and say, "If you used the FastPass... YOU would be that person walking up there! And you wouldnt have stood there in line for 45 mins."

By the way... DisneyDude87... yes, Test Track has been accomodated for all three queue lines, however, they didn't do it as well as we all hoped. They have three lines. Two short lines, and one wraparound long queue line. They put single riders and standby in the two short lines, and Fastpass for the long wraparound. So therefor, standby is STILL outside in the hot sun. From what I understand, GM wanted it that way because more people use FP than standby, and they wanted more people to see thier exhibits. Well, newsflash, when they're using FP, they're walking right on by your exhibits and not looking. If you put standby there, they'd be standing still, and would have time to admire it and read all the info you put out.

The Test Track queue is set up the way it is for a specific reason... It really doesn't have anything to do with what GM wants...

Here's what's going on... When Fastpass is operating normally at Test Track the wait time for that line is still approx. 10-15 minutes... If the Standby line is full, meaning out the door, the wait time for that line is approx. 60-90 minutes... If a guest was to come up to the attraction and see the line out the door and the posted wait time they would most likely turn around and try again some other time... If the standby line and Fastpass lines were swapped the stand-by line would pretty much double in interior length... This means that again of Fastpass was running normally and the standby line filled up (out the door) the wait would then be approx. 120-180 minutes on a constant basis... It all a matter of guest preception... Basically what operations is doing is trying to prevent the standby line from backing up past the interactive fountain and into the Innoventions breezeway...

First of all, I can't imagine standing in line to see any attraction for four hours....

I like the current system. Like some have said, if you think about it you can use it to your advantage and hit more rides this way.

BTW, I remember back in the late 80s when lines were routinely an hour or more for most attractions.... I have no complaints!

I think the FastPass system is just fine the way it is. I don't see a need for a 2.0. It's fair, it's simple, and it does what it was intended to do.

FastPass is explained in the vacation planning video you can get from Disney. It cracks me up when the guy explaining it says "We still have our popular stand by lines." I appreciate the theming within the queuing areas as much as anyone, but to describe them as "popular" is stretching it a bit. More accurately, he could say "We still have our really really long stand by lines," but that doesn't have the same, warm, fuzzy feeling, does it? :animwink:

or

I think fastpass is great, especially the new version 2.0 where it tells you when you can get another fastpass, but then again I like the little button that you can press when they arent looking to print out some extras. I mean what button, how bought them chickens?

I miss the days when the trick was to go into the left queue when it split into two because people are naturally inclined to go right when presented with a choice. :zipit:
