Unless something just plain weird happens with the busses, walking to the Contemporary and taking a cab will in come about the same or more as a cab. (I have done it a few times and never really saved any time) A cab is not going to drop you off any closer than the busses and you still have to go through security either way. You are pretty much banking on the wait for a bus being less time than the 10-15 minute walk to the Contemporary. What kind of time frame are we talking? Disney's web site says to allow 90 minutes to get from one place to another if you use their transportation. While the bus ride from MK to HS may be 15 minutes, you may have to wait a while for the bus to show up. Then you will need to clear security at HS and walk to the restaurant. Keeping in mind Disney wants you there 10 minutes prior to your ADR time.
If you are in a huge hurry I would walk to the Contemporary resort and taxi to the Hollywood Studios.
Leaving MK around 5 on a not so scary party day to HS for a 6:15 dining reservation. Walking is not an option. My husband is a wounded vet & uses a walker. What kind of time frame are we talking? The bus should be fine then especially if the hubby is using an ECV to get around.Leaving MK around 5 on a not so scary party day to HS for a 6:15 dining reservation. Walking is not an option. My husband is a wounded vet & uses a walker.
$25 now. Uber/Lyft is likely cheaper. The minnie shuttle most likely will be the quickest. Don't know how much they charge. I think it will be as close to gate to gate that you can do.

Magic KingdomIs the bus at the Magic Kingdom bus stop or at the TTC?
