Fastest Route from DTD to MK

Hello. My wife and I are going to WDW on saturday. We get into MCO at around 10am. Once we get checked in at POP century, we have to get some Earl of Sandwich awesomeness at DTD. After stuffing ourselves of sandwich deliciousness we want to get to Magic Kingdom as fast as possible. Anyone have suggestions how to get there?

I know there are no direct buses and we could really transfer at any hotel, but would any trip be faster than another?

Thanks for any and all help and recommendations.

I always feel it is pretty much pot-luck from DTD. I would probably get on the first bus that arrives that gets me somewhere close to MK - eg. Grand Floridian, Contemp and Poly. Then take the monorail, or in the case of the Contemp, walk to the MK.

Have a great trip!

Bus to the Contemporary and walk to the Magic Kingdom.
That seems to be about the fastest option.

Questions like these always make me happy that we rent a vehicle each trip. We went with family one year and they chose not to rent a vehicle. We arrived everywhere far faster than they did riding Disney transportation. We even nearly made it to Disney World from MCO before their ME even left the airport. o_O Always rent a vehicle.

If they were giving them away, I'd be all over it.

Trust me. The expense of renting a vehicle is far better than the alternative of waiting, and waiting, and waiting (did I mention waiting?) for Disney transportation. About half the time Disney transportation is decent, but the other half is horrible. You either wait far too long for the bus driver to leave, the bus is far too cold with the AC blasting full force (this was in October btw), or you have some sticky kid grabbing onto you (I know they cannot help it because they are kids but would you really want some unknown child's sticky hands touching you?), or the inevitable full blown shouting match between two people (usually a mother and father about how best to make their precious little one's first trip more magical  ). I'll keep renting a vehicle.

I'm going to suggest a real timesaver. Forget Earl and head straight from your resort to MK. Nothing against Earl, we really like it. But you are talking about at least an hour or two out of park time for a sandwich. Not a good trade. Go straight to MK, then try the waffle sandwiches at Sleepy Hollow, within sight of the castle. My wife likes the nutella and fruit sandwich and I like the chicken waffle sandwich and after you down the wonderful lunch (we share and each has half of the other's) you are already at MK. No worries about transportation.
Either way, my wife agrees, try the fruit waffle sandwich sometime while you are there at MK.

Well I've already come and gone, but have only now logged back in here, but bite your tongue man - not get Earl of Sandwich for day one? That's just insanity. If they had Earl of Sandwich in the parked I'd eat it every day we're there. There was actually another day while we were there that we started in AK and then went to MK in the evening. Got handed 2 space mountain fastpasses and 6 BTM fastpasses for the two of us (awesome), rode them and then, deciding it was WAY too crowded and full of brazilian tour groups that we just headed back to downtown disney for more Earl. Moral of the story - Eat earl and get fastpasses from strangers.
