I am wondering about fast passes and how they work now.I went in 2000,and it was a brand new system and free.Is it still free and at what rides is it necessary now?Six flags great adventure started charging extra for a similar system one year after implementing it,so i am wondering if disney changed their system since 2000.going in august2007.

Fast passes are free. They are part of the admission ticket. All you do is go to the fast pass kiosk for the ride put in your admission ticket and another ticket comes out with the time that you can ride. I would go to this website http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/fastpass.htm It has all the information you will need. Hope this helps!:)

Disney continues to tinker and change the Fast Pass system. Some changes include: Different attractions using FP; computer models in the background gauge attendance and will either issue more or less FPs for an attraction; sometimes you can hold more than 1 FP for different attractions.
My advice is, use it. If you want to experience an attraction and the line is longer than 20 minutes, get a FP and come back. Nothing ruins the day more than a long wait in line.

The Fastpass system is still free. I am not sure of all the rides that include it but it includes the more popular rides. Also, I am pretty sure that they have built it with all of the new rides recently.

Nemo dosn't have it. Don't believe MILF does either.

Off the top of my head (* = an attraction I'd reccomend using it for if you need to hit the attraction, ^ = a show and thus don't really reccomend using a FP there.)

Magic Kingdom
Jungle Cruise
Splash Mountain*
Thunder Mountain*
Peter Pan's Flight*
Mickey's Philharmagic^
Space Mountain*
Buzz Lightyear*
Stitch
Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Epcot
Body Wars (although closed and probably not in operation when it is open)
Mission: Space (the later in the day the shorter the line... almost non existant closer to park closing, rarely needed for Green/non spinning side)
Test Track*
Sorin*
Living with the Land
Honey I shrunk the AUdience^
Maelstrom

Disney/MGM Studios
Rock 'N Rollercoaster Starring Aerosmith*
Tower of Terror *
Star Tours
Lights Motors Action^
Voyage of the Little Mermaid^
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular^

Animal Kingdom
Expedition Everest*
Killimonjaro Safari (get everest FP then hit the Safaris first thing in the morning)
Kali River Rapids * (Short ride so don't wait long for it)
Dinosaur
Primevil Whirl
It's Tough to be a Bug^

Now if you're lucky you'll win a dream fast pass giving you one fast pass good at any time during the day you won it for every attraction in the park you won it in (so in Epcot you'll get a FP for every attraction listed under Epcot).
