Hello,
I'm trying to make the most of our 1 day trip to Magic Kingdom for my 3 and 6 year old. This will be our first time going and we do not intend to see everything, but certainly want to plan as much as possible since we will be there the Friday before Easter (good Friday). I know it will be very crowded, but this is really the only time we can go. We have a reservation at the royal table for 8:20, then I was hoping to run over the 7dwarves (no more FP available!) and stand in line for an hour. If the wait is longer than an hour, we will probably skip it and head over to the rest of the fantasyland rides. I have a FP reserved for the following:
11:20 under the sea
1:20 Peter Pan
3:20 thunder mountain

Do you think I should use my FP earlier for rides like Dumbo, Barnstormer, etc? I figured even with spring break those rides wouldn't be more than a 20 minute wait (at least that is what some of the past trends say). I am wondering if I should try to use all of my FP by 1:00 and then try to get more later, or stick with the plan above and wait in line for the bulk of the Fantasyland rides. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

Are you staying on property? If so, you're entitled to the morning EMH for that day, with MK opening at 8:00am.

If that's the case, I wouldn't recommend wasting precious post-rope-drop time on a breakfast reservation. If you spent 8:00am-10:00am touring Fantasyland, you could get most of it done, and save yourself literally hours in line.

As for FP+, if you get there within 1-2 hours of park opening (exceptions: Anna/Elsa, Peter Pan and 7DMT -- get there within the first 100-200 people, use a FP+, or expect to stand a long time in line), you won't likely need a FP+. Given the high crowd time you're visiting, I would suggest using your FP+ by mid-afternoon (perhaps move BTMRR to earlier if you can), and then seeing what others (e.g., POTC, HM) might be available.

I'm with @Weather_Lady on this - although a character breakfast is a great way to start your MK day it's really is impacting heavily on your ability to hit the big attractions early without FP and cutting down time stood in line.
Your choice - breakfast or rides ??
Make the most of the early opening (if you're staying at a WDW resort) and schedule your breakfast for between 10:00 and 11:00 - the later you eat the more successful you'll be making it brunch. Unless you hit it early 7Dwarves will soon be looking at a stand-by of over two hours

The royal table is a huge thing for my daughter- Cinderella and the princesses is the reason we are going to Disney. Unfortunately, the only time we could get a reservation was for 8:20. We are not staying at a Disney property, but with the breakfast will be allowed to enter early. I am hoping to wrap up breakfast by 9 and rush over to 7 dwarves. Based on the Royal Table being an absolute must, do you think we should move our last FastPass earlier from 3:00 to 10:00 am? Thanks!

Peoples plans change all the time especially the closer you get to the actual day. I suggest keep looking for either a FP+ for the Mine Train or for an earlier ADR at CRT. Have a magical time!!!

ditch the FP for under the sea....lines are not very bad and the que is nice if you do end up waiting, sure it will be busy due to holiday but i would spend it elsewhere. if you get to park at open even without EMH head right to fairytail hall or peter pan (dont use a fastpass for the one you pick) when i say head right to it i mean fast walk right into line. you will likely run into a 20 minute wait but nothing awful so now you just got one ride out of the way.

disclaimer i never go during peak times so my advice is just that.

I don't think there's any way you will be done with breakfast by 9 if your reservation is at 8:20 during a high crowd level time. I would plan at least an hour, if not more. If the park opens at 8:00 that day, by the time you got out of CRT, the standby line for 7D will most likely be crazy long.
