Fast Pass/Resort Question

We have a resort reservation for May 31-June 3 and just purchased tickets. I understand we can not make Fast Pass reservation until 60 days out (April 1). We have a small dog and if we can not find a sitter, we may stay at a pet friendly hotel off site. Probably will not know for another 4-6 weeks. If we cancel our Disney resort reservations in April, what happens to our Fast Passes?

If you cancel more than 30 days out, your FP reservations will be cancelled. May not be immediate (since there are a multitude of reasons guests might cancel one reservation and immediately re-book a different one), but they'll most likely be purged after a day or two.

It's not immediate and most of the time you do get a sort of warning about it. You have about a day to fix it before they delete.

Ok, I understand. What if the resort is cancelled less than 30 days out? Would the Fast Passes reservations remain since we could make FP reservations within 30 days without a resort stay?

And there are pet friendly Disney Resorts as well. Yacht Club, Port Orleans - Riverside, AoA, and Fort Wilderness. Not sure where you are currently booked but it could be an option to just change the resort to keep you FP's. Have fun at Disney!
