Fast pass for toy story or rockin roller coaster?

Hi all--

My kids are super excited to ride the Aerosmith coaster, but I've been told the lines for Toy Story are much worse. Should we get the fast pass for Toy Story and wait in line for Rockin Roller Coaster, even though the kids are more interested in the coaster?

If you're going at rope drop, get the Toy Story FP and head straight to Rockin Roller Coaster at opening. I had the same dilemma with our trip coming up this week (wow, that's weird to say) I chose TSMM because my grandma is coming with us and she won't ride RnRC anyway. Ask your group what they think...but TSMM waits are generally (much) longer than RnRC

I would get the FP's for TSMM and go to RnR at rope drop. Even if you wait until later in the day you might still be able to ride single rider, depending on how your family feels about that.

I agree with G00fyDad. Set your FP for TSMM and go straight to RNRR. Unless you want to do TSMM twice. Then go straight to TSMM and have FPs for it. Then wait in line for RNRR.

I'd get the FPP for Toy story and just wait in line at RNRR. The toy story line was a good 2 hours when we were there last week, so I just switched my FPP I had for RNRR to toy story. We waited in line for the RNRR for a whole 30 minutes, that's the longest wait it had all day (I kept checking the app). Of course as soon as we get up there my son decided not to ride it LOL. But that's what worked best for us!!

You're more likely to be able to get a Fastpass for RnC later in the day
Don't forget that unlimited fast passes start tomorrow and now you won't have to make a choice!

Not entirely true.

You DO still have to pick one or the other as part of your first three; the tiers do still apply in that regard. After your first three, the tiers go away and you can pick any rides that still have FP+ times available.

From what I'm seeing, as was the gist of the thread I referenced earlier, TSMM is much less likely to have FP+ available after you use your first three than RnC. Therefore, if you're wanting to do both on FP+, it makes more sense to book TSMM in advance and then hope that there is a time available for RnC.

You are exactly right. You should always book TSMM first, but RnR should still have FP times available. If you have to stand in line at lease TSMM is entertaining to look at.
