This whole project is so uninspiring and I agree Disaster was an attraction that shaped the original glory days of Universal and the last to hold its ground before the IP days set in
Yeah that comment made 0 sense. That park was always IPs seeing as the tag line is ride the movies. The IP days? Universal always revolved around IPs. The original attraction was Earthquake, an IP attraction based on a movie of the same name. It was changed into the "original" Disaster years later... which someone then decided needed to be a movie (San Andreas.)
I appreciated the audience participation and interactive [motha] nature of Earthquake/Disaster.
Does anyone know what became of the 'models' that were displayed in the original preshow?
Based on your first ride?IMHO the Furious ride is a total dumpster fire of a ride and may very well go down as Universal's first bomb in the post Potter era.
Oh well.... Bring on the 2018 rides.
I went to USH in the summer but when I did the tram tour Kong was broken and FF wasn't finished yet, so skull island and ff are going to be completely new to me. Is FF really that bad? I just pray that it's an actual ride and not another simulator. I love simulators, spiderman and transformers are some of my favorite rides ever but it's beginning to become over saturated.IMHO the Furious ride is a total dumpster fire of a ride and may very well go down as Universal's first bomb in the post Potter era.
Oh well.... Bring on the 2018 rides.
