Actually, signs like this are becoming more common in states that issue "carry" or "concealed" permits for handguns. Most states have restrictions on where people with permits can carry their weapons, such as schools, public parks, any place that sells alcohol, etc. Some states' laws provide that if a business posts something to the effect that guns are not allowed, it is then illegal for permit holders to take a gun inside.

Law enforcement are usually exempt from this restrictions. So the Quarter Pounders and super size fries are safe!:D

Why not? Many people carried concealed handguns for protection and have them on them at all times. This would include fast food eateries.

I see the sign as a mark against the use of guns. Including personal protection. If someone is afraid to eat at a Mac Donald's without their little gun. Well.. Gosh.

Also I do belive those signs are pretty much pointed to citizens and not law enforcers.

Also if I may add,

All Gas stations here in my home town have those signs on the doors.. So I dont find any shock value in the picture.

McDonald's is a big business, however, and probably has some sums of cash in the registers...

sorta like a bank...??

But a gun, you know, people are so crazy nowadays, you don't know what the world is coming to - even guns inside fast-food eateries...:( Sad.:o :hammer:
