Tonight not only rings in the New Year, but is the end of the Disney Club.

Farewell. I shall miss your occasional 10% discount.

I use mine every chance possible (like today. )

If I'm lucky I'll have a hefty chunk of change to use as spending money when we hit WDW. (hopefully in July.)

I use mine for most of my bills (that I can charge to a CC)... then I shoot over to the card holder website... and pay those charges off ASAP :lol:

And I used it for all my x-mas shopping...

I wish I could use it for my car payment and rent.. then I would have a TON more Rewards $$$ :lol:

I will miss it and the discount, too. I was a member of its predecessor, The Magic Kingdom Club, too. As was my mother when she worked in the 70s. This is really the end of something that goes back to Walt himself, since he started the Magic Kingdom Club years ago....

But, as for discount, I must say that I personally have found less and less to use it on these days anyway, since The Disney Store has stopped carrying worthwhile and collectible items for adults..... The cheap plush and kiddie stuff is just not worth it.

We used it for the last time when buying Finding Nemo last week. It had originally expired.. a few months ago, but my mom called and had it renewed until the end of the year for $7.50. We've definately made it worth the money, since we used it on our trip in December.

Luckily I was able to save our Disney Club card. My mom tossed the Magic Kingdom Club card when it expired. But I still have that nifty tote bag they sent us.

Personally...

I joined Disney Club in the last year of its' existence, so maybe I didn't get all of the benefits. I personally think Disney VISA is a better deal.

The one thing I got with the Disney Card that you can't get with any other card (or if you can, I don't know about it) is the discount on the annual pass. I renewed our passes December 9th and took that discount one last time. Glad the AP cards expired in December instead of January! (cheap, cheap...)
