Fantasyland passholders preview registration

No CMs were able to sneak in and register. I am a D23 member and registered under my right as a member there.

D23 is on a different schedule than AP so don't get upset. The AP passes will go out on the 15th as planned. D23 just has a different website and event registration system so theirs is not down. All 3 different types of registration have their own allotted amount.

CMs registered last week for the last two weeks in October and that is when the system error in the registration system was found because CMs and APs will be using the same system from now on and this is the first roll out for it. Disney pulled the website and tried to get it back up by today but it didn't happen so they pushed APs a week and CM has been pushed for at least a few days.

Don't worry guys if you are an AP there will be preview times for you guys.

Thanks for explaining this.

Where was it listed that D23 members were even getting a preview? I didn't get a notice via email or anything as a D23 member.

I saw it on twitter. There was not announcement or email to my knowledge. Seems like they found out last minute and sent it on on social media.

Ah, yeah...I saw it from Inside the Magic's web site and by the time I got over to register all the Belle times were gone. :/ I'm going to try for an AP Belle visit time next week. Thanks for the info!

I wonder how many registrations are available for each time slot? Man its gonna be ruff getting the first time slot on the 3rd lol. But as Denny said he wanted to get the nighttime slot to see the area light up! Which honestly would be amazing! Not sure which to choose lol.

But seriously how does the "system" determine who gets access first out of all the APs signing on at the same time? Is there actually a method to it like who has the fastest Internet connection or something? or is it all just a matter of luck?

You paid 70 bucks just to get into a free preview? I mean I like the perks of D23 but getting into stuff was never the reason I bought it. You can try and get a refund but they don't have to give you one because the fine print does say limited scalability first come first serve on these kinds of events. Also when you buy it they let you know it takes 24 to 48 hours for it to activate.

I paid $34. I knew it wasn't guaranteed but I figured it was worth the shot, worse case scenario I figured I had a D23 membership for the year.I still get lots of cool stuff even though I couldn't get into the preview right....right...????
The thing about it that annoys me though is that when I signed up the morning of the 8th, it said registration MAY take 24-48 hours for it to kick in on OTHER websites, but I didn't give it a second thought since the registration was on the D23 website, and I got my member number in the confirmation email. I guess I was putting too much faith in disney IT. But when I tried to sign up for the registration it told me my number wasn't recognized. If I had known it wouldn't recognize my number for 24-48 hours I probably wouldn't have tried that route, but it isn't really a big deal to me.

I will try for the AP registration next week, I actually benefited from the week delay, since my vouchers should be here by then. I just thought that this way would be easier because I think the system had less hiccups and it seems like there were probably less people trying for this preview than the AP one. It was also my only option at the time since I didn't have my AP vouchers in hand and the delay wasn't announced yet.

And while you may question paying the money for a free preview, to me it was a small price to pay (if it had worked) because my wife is a really big ariel fan and I wanted to surprise her with it, and earn a ton of brownie points. It isn't much crazier than people who have spent money to change their vacation plans so that they would be there for the preview or the actual opening in December. I mean people already spend thousands on a disney vacation, what is an extra $34?

I hope they give out a specials Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card. My girls love the game at the park and home. I figure since the online merch orders won't ship before then that something will be available. There is not a Beast card yet!! Thoughts?
