It has varied by event. Sometimes it's a "general admission" type situation where you can show up anytime during the preview window and simply show your pass for entry. (And sometimes, it's Passholder + 1 guest too in those more open previews.) Other times, it's a pre-registered signup where you need to select a time slot and arrive specifically at your designated time. (Those are typically registered Passholder only, no guest.) Things like the Passholder screenings of John Carter were time-slot since of course, they can only take so many people in a showing at once. This will be the first passholder event we'll be able to attend. How do these things typically work?
Be certain that all your info is up to date on the passholder site. They are suppose to send an email when registration begins. This will be the first passholder event we'll be able to attend. How do these things typically work?

Being close and being able to come and go anytime you want really opens up the exploration of the parks in an entirely different way. There's no pressure to cram everything in and if you don't do it today...no big deal! You also get to notice a lot more little things and details since you can go more frequently; watch the parks change ever so slightly but continuously. It's kinda neat. Now that we live so close, I'm finding I need more creative reasons to stay at a Disney resort, like "Let's celebrate, Happy September 17th Day!!!"
I've been really confused about this whole preview thing, do the passholder previews start on the 19? or before that. I've read different things. That passholders are before the 19 and guest previews start on the 19 than I heard that it is passholders, can anyone clear this up for me?
Found some interesting info on this site. It states that the preview will be held on November 3rd-4th & 10th-11th, check it out. http://www..com/2012/09/13/november-passholder-exclusive-preview-dates-for-new-fantasyland-set/
Any guesses on how far in advance the preview will be? A month, a week? I would love to be there during that time.
We just moved here too (Davenport). Driver's licenses and Annual Passes were the first things on our list. We like to head to one of the Parks first thing in the mornings on the weekends. Then, once it starts getting crowded (around noon to 1:00) we go home. Thanks for the tip. We just moved to Orlando last month and the first thing we did was get our Disney passes -- well the second thing, we had to get our FL driver's licenses first -- so all our info is up to date. Now that we live so close, I'm finding I need more creative reasons to stay at a Disney resort, like "Let's celebrate, Happy September 17th Day!!!"
