We'll be there from Sept 25th - 30th, so I was wondering if they'll be doing anything vertical by this time. Would be cool to actually see something coming up from behind those walls.

It appears that there is already a wall along in the back of the construction area. Anyone know if that a new wall already or an existing wall / temporary wall to hide construction view?

It's an existing wall from the 20K Leagues Under the Sea attraction.

Forgot to mention, but how do you think Pooh and Peter Pan will look like by this time? I just saw the recent Peter Pan photos and I must say they seem to be moving along with that one now.

I believe everything in Toon Town is still open and will be until Disney makes an announcement about a closing date. I believe I remember reading on here that they will make a closing date so that people may visit before it goes down.

But if Phase 2 is still in a big limbo, Toon Town could probably stick around a little longer than we think.

Thanks for the info!

Perhaps if Phase Two is currently in limbo, maybe we'll see an expanded Toontown, similar to Disneyland. They can easily expand it in the area where Pixie Hollow was supposed to go. It's been mentioned alot around here about Disneyland having a smaller version of Pixie Hollow. Maybe something similar can be built that wouldn't be as large, but can accomodate a fairy meet-n-greet.

The idea of ToonTown sticking around or even expanding if Phase 2 gets axed would be nice, but isn't too likely. The work going into setting up the Expo Hall on Main Street to take the M&Gs from ToonTown pretty well says TTFs days are numbered no matter what happens with Phase 2. The sorry state of the TTFs houses might also be an indication WDW is done with TTF.

As for expanding it, the Pixie Hollow site is ToonTown Fair. There's no room there for expansion of ToonTown except the path behind the Raceway. Directly behind the tents is the Little Mermaid site.

That is the Toontown backstage area, I don't think the clearing of those trees means much.

Where did you find that new aerial image? The one on the left looks like something I've seen for ages.

The Princess M&G's could be moved to the Expo Hall. I heard on Screamscape (isn't exactly accurate though) that Cinderella and Aurora may possibly be getting the axe in favor of something leaning more towards boys, or entirely something else new. I would think that maybe having a permenant Princess M&G would fit well over there on Main Street (I've seen Snow White out and about on Town Square in the past).

By the way, can't Toontown be expanded behind the current Mermaid construction site?

Technically yes anything is possible if there isn't a building there. However there is a fairly major service road in the way. While they could do something with a overpass/underpass to access that patch of land it might be tricky. After all that road also crosses the railroad right behind TTF and having the road go up or down and still connect with that bridge with a proper grade may not work without some major work. It might be more likely to expand TTF (or even a new ToonTown :) ) on the other side of the railroad from the current TTF just like how DL's is setup out past the Railroad.
