I'm a bit out of the loop, but what are some of the suggestions people have for updating the show?

For me, just the Pocahontas scenes...it's just strange to me that it's such a huge part of the show. Also, the water screen part in the middle of the show slows it down a bit but I guess that's necessarily to set up for the next scenes :shrug: I love the rest of the show though!

I like Fantasmic at WDW. I have seen it only twice.

However I LOVE Fantasmic at DL! That's the version I fell in love with the first time I saw it, and the one I watch over and over again on youtube and my home videos.

The Peter Pan sequence makes me cry with joy.
The pocahontas sequence makes me want to cry in disbelief.

I’ll always be biased towards the WDW Fantasmic as that’s the only one I’ve seen live. But I have seen the DL version and I have to say there are some pretty impressive parts in it.

Yeah, like I said earlier, I’m a little indifferent on the Pocohantas scene. It wouldn’t hurt my feelings if it was replaced somehow. Long as it doesn’t involve anything from that galaxy far far away J

I have seen both the DL and HS Fantasmic many times- they are both great in different ways.

It is one of the few things that Disney actually allows Mickey to STAR in--

So, I love it.

I hope it NEVER, ever goes away- although I do agree that the dragon and the Peter Pan scene from DL would make WDW's even better!

I love Fantasmic! we always try to see it at least once a trip. But i do agree that it needs updates and the pocahontas scene should go but they also need to get rid of the scene with the monkeys and raffiki. They are bringing a brand new version of Fantasmic! to Tokyo Disneysea and they should incorporate some of the scenes from that into the hollywood studiose version.

After seeing the DL version, with the new dragon and other enhancements (Flotsam and Jetsom, etc.), the WDW version is utterly laughable. When the WDW dragon appeared as a head on a stick, I literally started laughing because it looked so corny. We skip the show now

I'm not a huge fan of Fantasmic. Granted, I've only seen it once, so maybe it'll grow on me.
