Fantasmic Reopening Watch

Wait Bianca and Bernard were at Disneyland very recently? How did I miss that? The last time those two were out was during the early days of "Disneyland Parade of the Stars" way back in 2000.

During Sweethearts' Nite -

On an undisclosed day in an undisclosed line this week at WDW I overheard a two friends of princesses discussing how Disney was hiring (from within) for a show that has either started or will start rehearsing soon a bunch of friends of Elsa, Anna and Tiana. Then later on in the line I saw them both do the famous Fantasmic ribbon dance. So it seems that Tiana, Elsa and Anna will be at least on the Steamboat Willy for the finale, as these two individuals were friends of one of these two characters.

Nothing has started for Fant in any way in regards to casting or rehearsal or anything.
Elsa, Anna and Tiana are in Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire which is opening in a few weeks.

People doing a routine while waiting in a line is hardly an indication about something happening, they also could have formerly been in the show. A lot of guests could do that choreography for you. Doesn’t mean they’re learning the show either.

Grunts, giggles, laughs....it's unbearable/cringy every time I watch F! 2.0.

I might be in the minority but I find them to be really cute. The fact they changed to make it look like Mickey discovered what it’s like to be in a dream is a +1 over the old show.

Masks were already optional outdoors so this doesn’t change anything..

Yeah, there's like 3 distinct box-like structures among the lighting rigs, which most likely houses the projectors.

Excited to see the end result!!

This is quite literally the only ongoing project that I care about so I am always happy to see an update. Can't wait for the reopening!

Honestly never saw that view of the screens. I always assumed Mickey took a shower but I guess not unless it’s windy.

I could be wrong but I believe that might be a safety cover for the lift. I think I've seen it in pics before.

Looks to be the crash mat that previously had a home on stage right for the stunts during the Pocahontas scene.

I think it’s definitely gone, but I would expect a stunt heavy replacement.
