Fantasmic Meal Package

I have a few questions about the Fantasmic Meal Package.

Does anyone have a list of the restaurants you can eat at for the package?

I had heard you can do dinner or lunch, is that true?

Is it a fixed menu/price or can you order what you want?

Thanks,
Mike

The restaurants included in the Fantasmic Dinner Package are Hollywood and Vine, Mamma Melrose, and Brown Derby. From what I understood each time I've done it, is that you pay a fixed price for each restaurant and then you are given selected entrees to pick from at dinner. I have not heard of being able to do it for lunch, but I may be mistaken on that. Here's some more info on the dinner package: http://www.allearsnet.com/din/fantdin1.htm

Last year I ate at Hollywood and Vine which I thought was pretty good although we had to eat pretty early at about 4:15. Some people get annoyed with the package seating at Fantasmic because it is usually on the side and not in the middle of the theater. I personally didn't think it made a difference because of the way the show is performed. Hope that helped! :)

Hi,

Thanks that link was perfect. It does mention the lunch package but only for heavy times. We are going the end of January so I am assuming only dinner.

We will most likely do the Hollywood and Vine as it is much cheaper. We try not to count the dollars too much but we are already doing so many dinners and this one is really just do avoid the long waiting in line time.

When you did this, did you still have to go X amount of time before the show? And if so, when did they want you there? It mentioned in your link going 30 to 45 minutes ahead but does not say if you have to or not.

Thanks,
Mike

You don't have to go that early. Just make sure you are there before the regular visitors arrive. We did Mama Melrose's and had a great time (although it had been pouring most of the day & the metal seats were cold & wet).
I personally think it doesn't make a difference where you sit as long as it not standing in the overflow section...not good if you have little kids, or are tired from touring the parks all day; also the view is limited.

The reserved section is blocked off so you can pick any open seat/area you want. Enjoy!

Thanks. That helps alot. My wife and I did Fantasmic in 2000 and liked it. We did not do it on our trip in Jan. because our daughter who just turned 3 would not have waited in line that long very well. We did not know about the package but will be doing it this year.

She will love it I am sure.

Thanks again,
Mike

I think we showed up about a half hour before the show. We had to enter at a side entrace, where the bathrooms are on the right when you enter the Studios. It was through a gate that is next to the building that looks like a gas station that I think rents out the strollers. It brought us along this whole back area that leads into the theater. Getting there a half hour early, we still had plenty of time to wait for the show to start.

Last year we did not have a dinner package, I didn't even know about the Fantasmic dinner package at the time. We did however have a PS for Hollywood & Vine for 5:15. When we were seated our server came over to take our drink orders and handed us passes for reserved seating. I was happy and very surprised! I have a dinner package for our next trip just in case, but the dinner times are early for the package.

The second year we did the package we arrived about 20 minutes before the show. As we entered the auditorium, we saw a large contingent of guests running towards the reserved seats. Apparently, guests in the regular line were filling-in the empty reserved section seats. We were lucky we weren't two minutes later, or we would have been standing.

Generally they say at least 30 minutes before, but as I've always seen folks straggling in later, I would guess that you can probably do it up to 15 minutes before. For admission, you go to an entrance near the gas station (near front entrance) and a CM will admit you to a backstage walkway. During heavier times this area does fill fairly well by showtime, so I would plan on the 30 min.
