Fantasmic! front row, or back?

Sat close to the front once on a cool and very windy night and nearly froze to death. I guess if it's really hot and humid that might feel soothing, but when they hit the fire effects you'll roast. You can see everything just as well from the back without risking pneumonia.

The good thing about Fantasmic is you have a pretty good view regardless of where you sit. Many times I have sat around the world showcase and had a poor view of Illuminations. (Doesn't really matter though, I love the show) I was even by one of the speakers at Illuminations that sounded aweful, like the speaker had blown or something.

What is the theme like at the Fantasmic at Disney Land? I understand they don't have Pocahantas... what do they have? What kind of stage?

It's not a water ride.. You can sit in the front and not get wet. Unless it's windy.. Then yeah. You will ;)

Closer the better the view.

You will want to leave 30 seconds before the end.. To get out before the general crowd does. If not. Bring a camper and relax..

That wouldn't be Mickey's nightmare would it
The first time I watched Fantasmic it was from the front. But when videoing the show any spray from the water soon settles on the lens and ruins it. Since then I've always sat at the back.

I agree with most of what has been said so far but.... my standing room experience was a pain - literally. we have small children and I had to put my 3 year old on my shoulders, and pick up and hold my 10 and 8 year in my arms for any of them to even see. I would strongly suggest not trying this it was murder on my back and shoulders and arms and neck and.....

We also did the priority seating dinner thing at the Holywood and Vine. The food at the dinner was ok...but we got to walk right in to the stadium and sit in the front row on the right side. I thought the seats were great. The way the show runs is right to left and action on stage in the midde. I would guess that every seat has a good view. It was well worth not having to spend 90 min. waiting in line to get in.

We went in November and sat in the front row...we go cold and wet...still loved the show. Next time we will do the dinner and sit a few rows back from the front.

On a side note, it was a lot of fun watching my 3 year old son pick up a very attractive Brazilian woman who was there with her daughter....he ended up sitting in her lap and everything...Some times I wish I could be so lucky...
