Hello all--I am new to the forums, so thank you ahead of time for your patience. My family is flying to Disney in May (they have never been). I saw on-line that you can have dinner at MGM and receive special passes that by-pass the main entrance to the Fantasmic show. Has anyone done this? Does anyone have any info? Is there an additional charge----how are the seats reserved? Thanks---confused:veryconfu

Meega, nala kwishta!
Check out the thread that is already discussing the package here...

And to answer you questions...

Has anyone done this? Yes, lot's of us.
Does anyone have any info? Yes, just do a search, you'll find lot's of info.
Is there an additional charge? Nope, just the cost of the meal.
How are the seats reserved? Book it like any other PS reservation.

Hope that helps...have fun!

Just a quick clarification - the seats at your chosen restaurant are reserved, the seats at Fantasmic are not. There is one seating section within the ampitheatre which is reserved for meal package guests.
Finally, the reserved seating section is over to the right hand side - it is not the best area for viewing the show (ie centre sections) but you can see everything that you need to.

Welcome to the forums. Look at my thread called Fantastic Fantasmic. If you can't find it, the basic idea is that the prices are fixed at the restraunts. And the seats at Fantasmic! are reserved for people who buy the package. There is not a specific seat with your name on it, just a big section.

DH & I were thinking about doing that until I read somewhere that the whole area is set up to where there's no bad seats. Is that true? Can you pretty much see alright from any point with the seating?

When we did the package last year, we were allowed to sit in either of the two most right seating areas. Neither is the center area.

We were in the left one, closer to the middle, on it's left side. The viewing was fine, and we had no issues seeing anything. The more right you'd sit, the more "off-center" you'll be from the performance area. So I'd suggest getting as far left as you can.

Since we didn't sit in the right most area, I can't really say if the view was good or bad, but it would seem to me that the more center you are, the better.

Don't do it!

I just got back from Disney MGM and bought the Fantasmic dinner package ahead of time. Of course, it rained on the night I went (Easter Sunday) and so we did the meal without the Fantsmic show. I recommend you not book the package and maintain your flexibility as you go through the park. There are plenty of places to grab a bite on the fly and you can check the weather and make your plans.
