Fantasmic! August Dates?

I'm planning a trip to Southern California, and I'll be arriving Disneyland on the week of the D23 Expo. I know It's going to be one crazy week, but I have a question. I don't see Fantasmic! scheduled to run on the Disneyland website from the 7th-9th (when I'm visiting) So what's up? Is it up for refurbishment or what? Is my computer just acting up? Do they not perform it in August?

This is something I learned when going in the off season...unlike WDW, where they just cut down the number of shows (1 Fantasmic vs. 2) and do fireworks EVERY night...at DLC they don't. They just drop shows altogether.

The last Fantasmic showing, as of right now, is July 30. This is probably due to the fact that local schools are going back into session the second and third weeks of August...

This may change as you get closer to the 30 day out timeframe, but I doubt it.

Be awarae though, at some point in August they go into off-season and they perform Fantasmic only on the weekend! I was there in the last August week last year and it was only performed on the weekend then.

But you should be fine. Just wait a while to see the schedule

Fantasmic will run nightly until "summer" ends for DLR, which will be end of Aug-early Sept (usually coincides with Labor Day). DLR is just awful at getting their calendar up.

I hate they don't publish calendars further in advance. Doesn't leave alot of time for a little planning.

Unlike WDW, Disneyland really isn't meant to be planned. It's a lot more spontaneous.

I've been to dl before and I agree it should be somewhat spontaneous but I do like to have a little plan of attack.

And even after they get their park hours up, sometimes the entertainment schedules aren't up or aren't loaded properly, so don't freak out then, either. At the absolute minimum, I would expect Fantasmic! on Friday.

The Disneyland.com website is notoriously bad as a planning tool more than 4 weeks in advance. It's been this way since the late 1990's. Seriously. Stuff just doesn't show up on the online calendar until the 30 day mark passes.

Fantasmic! will perform twice nightly at 9PM and 10:30PM for the first three weeks of August, like it always does. The fourth week of August, if Disneyland closes at 9PM, they won't do Fantasmic!. But if Disneyland closes at 10PM or later, they'll do Fantasmic!.
