fantasmic and processional question

Hi I have been to the fantasmic show, but not the processional.

my question pertains to both. I have the dinner thing for both for next week. And I assume that the processional have sections reserved as fantasmic for the dinner packages.

So my question is, will they force you to sit down in the seating area, i.e. fill in from the front and all the way to the end or can you sit in that section wherever you want? My question is because I would like to sit in the back so that I can set a tripod up at my seat(without blocking folks behind me) or stand up behind the seats on the last ledge and set it up and video the shows?

I am not sure if the processional is seated in elevated rows like fantasmic or not so just wondering..thanks...t

Once we were done eating we went to get into line for the processional. It was all the way back to Japan by that point. By the time we go into the theater we were on the left side (looking at the stage). The seats weren't the best, but it was better than standing. (which I did for the show on Dec 3rd at 5 pm since it was a reserved show) I would think that if you asked a CM they would help you out.

With the processional dinner packages, there aren't assigned seats or a seating area.... it is more like a fast pass, you get priority seating, you get to seat before everyone else...... you get to sit any where you want, within the ampitheater....

When we went a few weeks ago, the line was past Japan, but we were still able to sit in the third row, right in the middle....

I got some pretty good pics:

Ok we have our priority seating w/both fantasmic and CP. CP on Dec.24, Fantasmic on Dec 25th. We have plenty of time between our meals and our show times. How far in advance should we get in the Reserved seating for CP? I was thinking at least 30 minutes but is that not enough time? Thanks.

We went to get in line after we eat, it was approx 45-60 mins before they started to seat the show (approx 20 before show time) and it was backed up past Japan (half way between Japan and Morocco)...

If you want the very best seats, I would suggest a miniumum of 60 mins before show time.... I've never been to the park on those days, so I don't know if there will be more crowds or not. But if you get there about the same time was we did (45-60), you should still be able to get decent seats, just depends on how people load....

Hope you enjoy both shows.... their both great! :sohappy:

alright. Thanks for the info. When we went to see CP in 2004 we did not have the reserved seats and we got in the stand by line about 45 minutes before and were fortunate enough to get into that showing. I was planning on getting in the reserved seating line 30 mins thinking it would be enough time. Its a challenge to keep 6 kids entertained while standing in a non moving line, but they won't be hungry. We do have enough time before our meal to get in line as early as an hour before so I guess we will plan for that.
I love them both and would love to have excellent views to record this years show.
