Fantasmic AND IllumiNations

I was thinking of trying to see Fantasmic (7:30) and IllumiNations the same night during my late March visit. Is is possible? I was thinking of walking -- should I just drive and park at the BoardWalk? Has anyone ever done this?

I have never tried it personally... but I have read on the boards that it is possible if you walk and you hustle.

I don't know about driving.

You would have to try to be one of the first people out of the Fantasmic theater and you would have to hustle to get to Epcot. It is a fairly long walk, so you have to walk quickly. It is possible, but be prepared for a tiring walk.

-you could always try using the resort boat from mgm to the epcot resort area and then walk from there to the WS entrance of EPCOT. -that should make for a much shorter walk, but i dont know how you would do timewise having to wait for a boat...

I've done this several times and have never had any problems. I've never walked between the parks; I either drive to the Boardwalk area or to Epcot's main parking lot, where you can park very near the front gate at that hour.

I would not even consider taking the boat from the Studios to Boardwalk - the line after Fantasmic is very long and does NOT move quickly.

When I do this, I've never really felt that I had to rush. You'll be out of the Studios by 8:15, it takes 15 minutes to get inside Epcot, then you'll have a half hour to find your place in World Showcase.

Of course you can!

Fantasmic is about 7:30... If you get out of the thrater early, you canget to your car by, like, 8:15... Then, drive to Epcot. By the time you get to WS, it'll be about 8:45... IllumiNations starts at 9... You'll have time to grab a beverage at the R&C before the fireworks start...

Hmm... maybe I should try that. The last time I've seen Fantasmic was back when it just started and was sorta TOO popilar.

umm 10 minutes to get to the boardwalk....then maybe 5-7 to get into the worls showcase??? i guess

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I'm going to give it a shot. I'm actually going to drive over to the Beach Club, park there, and then walk over to WS. I think that should give me plenty of time.

I'll post when I return to let you know how it worked it out.

I did it last night, to answer your question, and "Yes" it is possible. Just got to be quick on your toes, and get to the MGM parking lot to get on the bus. We made it. And we had 15 minutes to spare when we got to Epcot. I recomend to take the bus, Don't walk.

this can be done. last week i went from the 7pm fantasmic to epcot (by resort bus) and had a lot of time before illuminations starts.
