This may be old news but I'm hearing Fantasmic will be returning to a full schedule for the entire summer.

I'm not sure about this. This would mean completely redoing the park hours during the summer as well. DHS is only open until 7:00 on about 25% of the days in July and it wouldn't even be close to dark at that point.

I thik it is a great idea. The nights it is playing the park is packed. It would eleviate the massive crush you have to endure to get into the show. It's like your being marched to your death. On the other hand, it has to be expensive to to do.

Not old news, but thanks for delivering it all the same. It sounds like WDW is anticipating an increased number of visitors this summer......

Even on a 7 night a week schedule I have never been there that the theater wasn't full to capacity. I really love the show, although it could do with some updating now.

We tend to try to always go to the second showing on those nights it plays. A few weeks ago the second show was a walk up right before the start of Fantasmic. We were sitting in front of the left water "screen", so not a bad seat, for walking up to the show.

So...when we say all summer, do we mean all the way through August? We're going at the end of the month once things are a bit slower...having this running every day then would make planning much easier.

I am wondering the same thing since were going in late August to and it would be great if it was playing daily during our trip.

Geez Disney it's about time! If this is true that would be amazing! This what they've been needing to do. If they want to cut it back a few nights in the offseason sure that's fine but 7 nights a week during peak seasons like summer is a must. Disneyland doesn't even run theirs everyday all year but during the summer they do and I think WDW should be able to atleast do that.

It would be a smart move, in March when I went to DHS and when I TRIED to go watch Fantasmic people were lined up/in the stadium an hour and a half before the show and filled up in less than an hour. Long story short I was mad, and upset that I did not get to watch it this year

Reportedly, this test will start May 22nd and run till the end of June. At that point a decision will be made. Also, don't expect 2 shows a night all the time; more than likely it will be 1 show with some nights having 2 shows.

We'll be there May 19-23, so we're just going to be glanced by the new schedule. Nevertheless, we'll have two chances to see it during our trip.

FYI, for those talking about the hours "having to be re-worked", they added 4 hours per day for DHS for this upcoming trip. Of course, it is opening weekend for Star Wars Weekends, too, but still...

Thanks for the info!

Oh I have.

There have been many times in the summers I've walked in 10 minutes before showtime and the outer sections are still completely empty and remained that way through the show.

Alas, that is anecdotal for both of us and not a constructive game to play on the internet.
