Attention all fans of the former hit ABC show Whose Line is it Anyway?, the show where everything's made up and the points don't matter:::

ABCFamily will air NEW episodes of Whose Line is it Anyway? starting January 17th. That's right NEW (not new to ABCFamily, new to TV)!
Editors were hard at work getting unaired pieces and putting them
together.

The new episodes will be on at 8/7c pm and 9/8c pm. Two solid hours. Thanks to the hard work of the Save Whose Line campaign, we'll get to see brand new episodes.

If you've never seen this show, I HIGHLY recomend it. It blends great improv with [mostly] family friendly entertainment (good for everyone not between the ages of 7 and 10).

Is it going to be the same ppl or new ones???
Same people. Wayne, Ryan, and Colin are the regulars. All they did was piece together bits and pieces of tapings that they haven't used yet, which is perfectly fine with me :D.

Love the show. I thought ABC owned a bunch of never before seen episodes. They were airing some over the summer. I think in 2002 there was a threat of a actor strike so they type a bunch of shows but never aired?

:sohappy:

Well ABC and ABC family come from the same place so I guess whatever they haven't aired will come out on January 17th . I've read a bunch of interviews with Colin, Ryan, and Drew and they said that they'd tape every weekend for like 10 weeks during the summer. From those tapings they can get MANY, MANY episodes. From what I've seen, they've shown about 3-4 episodes from one taping, when at most they can get twice as much. I don't doubt that they have many leftovers that they are just now deciding to air, and I guess they're airing them because Whose Line has been pretty successful in syndication.

Again, can't wait :sohappy:.

I guess I'm hoping for a lot of leftovers....like at Thanksgiving.

However many is left, it will be nice to see fresh unaired tapes. I wonder if they could revive that show since it's so popular in syndication? They have that similar one on the WB with Drew, but never watched is as it seems lame compared to who's line.

I saw all 4-5 episodes of Green Screen. It does seem lame because the fun in Whose Line is imagining what the guys are acting out. For instance, when Ryan has played a sumo wrestler, somehow you can see him as one. On Green Screen, they're doing the work for you and drawing it in. I will admit the drawings and effects were very cool, but it can never be as good as using your imagination on Whose Line. I wish they could bring it back also.

In anticipation of the new episodes, anyone want to share favorite moments on Whose Line? I have a lot, and I'll condense it as best as I can.

1. The Richard Simmons episode
2. During the 100th episode, when they sang to "HoRward" as the Village people, and the song ended up going really fast.
3. The newsflash clips that centered around Colin and Ryan
4. ANY African Chant (they are so hilarious to watch)
5. I'll leave this one blank, because there's too many funny things . I can't just pick one.

Has anyone here seen Drew Carey's Improv All Stars? I saw them last July and they were awesome. I'm hoping they come back to Ontario this year. It made me miss Whose Line so much. :(

I wish . Why don't these guys ever come down to Miami. Well, I know Ryan won't because he hates flying, but why don't the rest of them come down? As far as I can remember, they haven't really been down here. Brad and Colin are doing their show in Coral Springs a month from today, but it's too far for me. ::sigh:: Maybe some day they'll come to their senses and come down here.

Is Drew Carey's Green Screen still airing? That show is hilarious.
Nope, it's on "hiatus" for now. Supposedly they're trying to figure out a better time slot for it because in its original time slot it was competing with the OC and Will and Grace. Hopefully, they will bring it back and give it another chance.

EEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGHH! Curse my non-cable-or-satellite-owning family! I was mad when they took the show off ABC. Now I'm a little better that at least new episodes are coming. Also, how could anyone forget these highlights:

The Robin Williams Episode
The Whoopi Goldberg Episode (they made fun of CBJ in that one)
The Jerry Springer Episode
The Foreign Film Dub Game with Sid Caeser
The Sound Effects Game with the two ladies:

Colin: We're going in there, and we're going to sound like elephants!
Ladies: Quack quack quack quack quack

Any News Flash, Weird Newscasters, or Film Dub sketch

The Melissa Incident

ANY EPISODE!!!!!

And I liked Green Screen. It wasn't the best, nor the worst, but hey, there were no more new Whose Lines coming out, and it gave me something to watch.

Two more classic episodes! I hadn't realized they were making fun of CBJ until like the second time I saw it .
