I don't see anything wrong with getting a spa treatment at WDW if you're there for a long trip. If you're only there for a weekend, I would spend all my time in the parks, but if you're there for a week, why not experience some of the other things that Disney has to offer? They probably have nearly the best of everything, so it wouldn't be the same massage or whatever you could get at home unless you live in a huge city that also has some of the best of these offerings.
I thought it was neat that they tried to show how different types of people choose to experiece the parks. I did think that the lady crying at Illuminations while she video taped it was a little cheesy (no offense to anyone who might do those things). I didn't understand why they made a point to show the girl making PS at Prime Time, but they didn't show them eating there.
About the breakfast thing, they put a little blurb at the bottom of the screen mentioning that breakfast at Tusker House was included with the sunrise safari.
You are right, there is nothing at all wrong with having a spa treatment. If I had 10 days to spend there I might have one as well. But when I go I normally have about 5 days and there is not time. Besides when I am there I am far to excited to relax, I just want to ride and walk around. I also understand that not everyone lives in a big city and has these kinds of things available everywhere.
I also did enjoy the fact that they showed all kinds of different visitors, from families with kids to couples to frineds having a good time.

I was a decent show, especially 1) for those "not in the know" and 2) just to get a quick Disney fix. However, it seemed VERY scripted and made me feel like, if these people are experts, then I (and most everyone here in the forums) are demi-gods :)

I think that if they were to follow people like us around the show would have been totally different and probably a little confusing to people less in the know about Disney World. We have to remember that not everyone experiences Disney the way we do. My sister-in-law recently went to Disney and was calling us to ask questions and get advice. I think I might have tried to give her too much info though. This was her first trip since her grad night in 1988 or something crazy like that.
I'm sure they have to script out the show to make it work right. Even reality shows like Trading Spaces have most the camera shots set up to make the show flow correctly and to make it more interesting. You're right, it was a great Disney fix and I personally think it was still better than most of the Disney shows the Travel Channel has to offer. Don't get me started on the ignorance of the Vacation Challenge WDW episode.... :hurl:

Oh bummer. I haven't seen this one but I was all excited to watch it cause I saw it was going to be on Thursday afternoon - sigh.

I'll still check it out though. I always enjoy these shows if for no other reason than to catch a glimpse of the World.

Vacation Challenge hurt my head to watch it. Were these people really that dumb? I loved watching the vacation planners faces when the father would ask a question. Like when he asked for hundredth time if you actually drive the test track cars and the planner looked at him with a dumb face and said yes. It was almost like he said yes just to get past the subject.

Actually, that sounds really entertaining! ;)

Have to go home and fire up the Tivo so I can watch it.

Im sorry, I cant agree that "Ultimate Disney Fans" would sleep in late and then go to the spa and then to a park... And also an "Ultimate" fan would not need to get maps for the parks... Time guides sure, maps NO!!!

We always grab the maps! My DH says, why do we grab these we don't need them? I keep them and put them in my keepsake memento box. Ok so I'm a tad odd. :lookaroun

By "Ultimate Disney Fan" I think they meant "People who would let camera crews follow them around while we feed them instructions on things we need them to do to fill out our show on the many different aspects of Disney World."

But I could be wrong.
