family Suites

Are the ASMu family suites up and running? Has anyone stayed in one yet? We are planning to go back Sept. 2009 and will have a 10 and 13yr old. They are in the stage where sharing bed is not ok. Are these rooms big enough for 2 double beds and a pullout or sofa bed? I had heard they were going to run around 150$. Is this still true? Or are we better off going for the moderate? We like the values and the food courts work excellent for us. Any help would be great.

I believe the rooms are up and running, but they are priced a little over 200.00 per night, and they are arranged with a queen bed in one room and a queen sleeper/sofa in the other. the diagram I have says they sleep 6 but I don't see how.IMHO I'd suggest connecting rooms. That way you'd have 2 double beds in each room. The suites are basically 2 rooms put together anyways, and the suite really is'nt discounted. hope this helps. the diagram is in the Unofficial Guide to WDW.

I have stayed in the suites back in Dec of '06. There were 5 of us and we were very comfortable. 2 people slept in the bedroom, I had the couch bed and another person slept in the chair which folds out to a single bed. It is basically like staying in 2 joining rooms without the 4 beds. The one advantage is the little kitchen area. You automatically get a mini fridge, a coffee maker and I want to say a toaster was there...but I might be wrong. If you don't need the kitchen space I would say go for the joining rooms. But the suite are a great option IMO.

I hope that helps!
