We have a family of five and are not sure where to stay. We consist of Great Grandmother, Myself, Husband, Daughter (24) grandson (5) are i have no idea as to how to fit us in one room or where to look for bigger rooms. We have only stayed at All Star Movies and Pop Century. Any ideas greatly appreciated!

If you do value, get two rooms. That said, I have a family of 5, and we often travel with my parents making 7. We usually get 2-3 rooms at a value. This year, I was looking at Mod. and Dlx level for more space. I'm not doing it, though. For those prices, I can get a whole house 10min up the street. This year, we are doing vacation home rentals. Then, we'll have seperate bedrooms for everyone, full kitchen, entertainment and a pool in a single family home for about $800 for an entire week. Way better deal than Mod or DLX level.

We are also a family of five and we stay at Port Orleans Riverside. We put the youngest on the trundle bed. :ROFLOL:

I have been so very tempted to stay off site for more room, but we are not in the room much anyway and it is so convenient staying on site.

We are also a family of five and have stayed in Deluxe rooms and at Port Orleans with the trundle bed. We liked them all, but now the boys are 11, 13, and 15. We decided to get two rooms at a Moderate this time, which as it turns out, equates to more square footage and a lower price than one room at a Deluxe. I would suggest you do the same. With four adults, you will be very cramped in only one room - Moderate or Deluxe.

You have a different spectrum of roomates than we do. My spouse and 3 kids all shared one room in Contemporary or Poly during our many trips. It wouldn't be that much less expensive, but the location is outstanding if you price out 2 rooms in the garden wing of the Contemporary. Walking to/from MK is invaluable. We've done tower and garden wing. We like tower but it is mucho $.

Have you considered the cabins at Fort Wilderness. I believe they will hold up to 6 people. The have a full kitchen, livingroom, one bath, but all close to a comfort station, bedroom, deck. They even have cabins that have ramps if climbing stairs is difficult for any of your party.

All Star Music!

I would suggest the All Star Music family suites. You get a living room with couch, ottoman and chair that all pull out to beds, that way the great-grandma, daughter and grandson each get their own bed. There is also a separate bedroom for you and your spouse. You get two bathrooms, two t.v.s and a small kitchenette (mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker). We (family of 6) have also done two connecting rooms at the Pop, which actually was roomier than a deluxe or the family suites, but your daughter and grandson would have to share a bed. There are villas as well (staying in a 3 bedroom treehouse villa in February at Saratoga Springs), but they are pricey.

Families of 5 staying at the world can be a toughie. During our last trip, we got two connecting rooms at All star sports. We split the two oldest in one room and then me and my youngest in the other. My kids are too big for the trundle bed so the moderates are out of the question.

For our next trip, we are going to go with a family suite. It will fit 5 people plus comes with a kitchen. The price isn't too bad either.

We stayed in the family suite in ASMU and it was very roomy and comfy. Although 2 rooms may be a bit more square footage, you won't get a micro or fridge. We were 2 adults, a toddler and a teenager...it was very pleasant. Everyone had their own bed and it was nice. Having 2 bathrooms is a major plus, too.

I would go with the family suite at ASMU. You won't have qutie as much room as booking two rooms, but having the micro fridge (included in the price) more than makes up for it.

The only thing is, though, about the family rooms at ASMu is that the fold out beds aren't that comfy. When you're talking about kids/teens, no biggie but I wouldn't put grandma on a fold out couch or chair. Especially not for more than one night. Your party is a bit different than a family of 5. You aren't talking parents and 3 kids. You've got 4 adults and 1 child. Then add in ages and body condition( let's be real. You aren't in your 20s anymore lol). For your daughter to be in her 20s, you and your husband aren't in your 30s ;) If you got two rooms, you and your husband can have a bed, ggma has her own bed, and daughter and grandson have beds. Or do a house out in town.
