Fall trip with in laws

We're planning a fall trip with the in laws, and we want to stay together in a family suite at Art of Animation. The issue is that my family will have annual passes and the in laws won't. From what I've been told, the fact that not everyone will have same package will cause issues with dining plans, fast pass booking, etc. Has anyone had an issue like this, or does anyone have any suggestions?

If you want the DDP you will need to call or use a travel agent and book a room only package with dining. Booking an AP rate (if available) room only with dining will also be a possibility. Those without tickets can purchase them online in advance so you can book fastpasses.

As long as everyone has tickets, it’s all ok. Since you’ll be on property, get fast passes at exactly 60 days out. Tickets can all be linked via my Disney experience before 60 days out and everyone can get same fastpasses and dinner reservations.
Possible issues: your annual pass will allow Park hoping, but the in laws will need to add on park hopper if you plan to do different parks each day.
Dinner reservations are difficult with larger parties. But sure to make them at exactly 180 days out.
We are usually a party of 6+ and get what we want except for Be Our Guest dinner, that we usually settle for lunch, but it’s NOT the same experience.
May I suggest Hoop De Doo Revue if you’ve got kids under 12: it’s really a great family time.
