To see if DF's family celebrates Halloween. :lol: I explained to her that yes, they celebrate Halloween, just not Christmas and Easter. They celebrate Passover & Hannakah. Then she says "so...snowmen are ok then?". :ROFLOL: :ROFLOL: I told her "yes, I think they're good w/ snowmen".

You have to understand there's a veeeery small Jewish population in Nebraska, so...it's just a foreign concept to her. :shrug: :ROFLOL:

I know a lot of Jewish people here, and I can tell you they love Christmas decorations. Most don't have them in their own places, but they love other people's.

The veil?
It's elbow length. They steamed it and it's nice and perky. They told us if we just let it hang undisturbed it will be fine for the big day. I had to iron First Communion veils for the girls and it's nerve-wracking!

Our first Christmas here, George and I were so surprised to see that the large majority of our Christmas cards came from our Jewish friends and neighbors. They love sending them!

Except they don't get that it's not going to be "tomorrow". I explained to them that it would be awhile and not until they're 6..but all they heard was "we get to wear a pretty, pretty princess dress" and they were done. That's my girls...I trained them well :king:
