^^Cool pics Luke! You said something about a common room. How are they set up? Do you have bedrooms around a common area or are the desks in the same place as where you sleep? Just trying to picture the layout.

EDIT: oops, missed him! Have a good one Luke!
Looks similar to DS' setup. They have a common room that you walk into first, then 2 bedrroms and a bath off that. DS' room has the desks in it as well, but only 2 beds.

I think being engaged was one of the most, if not the most, exciting time in my life. Enjoy it, Steph! I can't believe I got engaged more than 10 years ago! Even though it was so long ago, I remember the feeling of exhilaration and excitement as though it were yesterday. :o

Jenny- sorry to hear about Joel. Hang in there. I hope tomorrow's a better day.

Hi Betty! Beautiful day today up here in the northeast!

Hi Luke! You don't know me (I think) but I've read enough posts to figure out that you're starting college in Ohio... stay warm and have a blast!! I'm Kristin, btw.

I hope I didn't miss anyone. I'm really not awake yet, even though I'm at work. :hammer:

Hi Kristin! I'm not awake much either - need a shower!

I can't see them on my work computer. :( I'll look at them when I get home.
He likes it, and he has a girlfriend already......
He does?! Wow, that was quick!

That's nice....we had the big common bathroom for the whole floor. Really fun when you had the flu.

Hi Betty! How's DS liking Hofstra? I saw that he has a girlfriend already... Does he like his classes?
He loves it so far, with the possible exception of Spanish. He's finding it far less challenging than high school was - term papers are like 4 pages long vs. 20-30.

I left a message when I called Joel off today for his special needs teacher to call me, which she just did. Explained the spitting incident. She said they had some extra people in the classroom yesterday and Joel wasn't the only one acting up. She thinks there were enough changes happening to set people off - Joel wasn't even singling any kid out, this one child happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I also told her about his bowel troubles at home, and she agreed that there was something in his body language that made her wonder. All things considered, I am thrilled she got back to me so quickly and we could touch base. I really like this teacher. :)

He had several of them! His history classes required 10 page papers every week. DD had the same experience.
Wow!!!! That's crazy!! :dazzle:

Oh that's really nice, Jenny. I bet it makes the transition easier for all trusting that he has a wonderful teacher. :)

Sounds like she's staying on top of things too - that's great that she's keeping in touch so readily. I think he's going to have a great year!
