For any of you who planned on applying, just thought I'd let you know that the application is now open! I am applying and have already scheduled my phone interview.

Who else is considering applying? What position do you hope to have if accepted?

The next day after I sent in my application, they e-mailed me and told me to take a web-based interview. The next day after I passed the web-based interview, they e-mailed me and asked me to set up a time for the phone interview. So as long as you pass both the application and the web-based interview, it shouldn't take much more than 3 days.

I'm not really sure, I am torn between and Operations job such as Attractions or a Retail/Sales job such as a Concierge or Vacation Planner. I feel like Attractions would be a lot more fun, but considering I am a business major, I don't think my dad would let me do the program if I didn't have a job that had SOMETHING to do with business. He doesn't think it's a good idea for me to do the program because there really is no academic benefit.

Yep, I'm a Marketing major, Business Analytics and Finance minor so nothing really applies to my career but oh well. I think it'll be a great experience and a great way to network.

Congrats on taking the steps to apply for the program! It's truly an amazing and life changing experience. I am a Spring 2010 DCP Alum (Hospitality - DAK Lodge), 2 year lead campus rep, 1 Lodging MI and 1 PI so I've had lots of experience with Disney Internships and programs. :) If you guys have any questions, please done hesitate to ask! I'm more than willing to help. GOOD LUCK on the interviews!!

Now that my phone interview is approximately 36 hours away, I am starting to freak out a little. I have made myself a cheat-sheet so that if I freeze up, I can look to the sheet for any examples of my own experiences. Any other tips?

I don't think I'd be so stressed if I didn't have a huge finance/accounting test on the same day, a couple of hours after the interview....the hours of studying are already starting to get to me....

I wouldn't stress to much about it. I haven't had my phone interview yet but I know a few girls who have done the program and they have said that the phone interview is not bad at all. You just have to try and be calm and speak normally and you should be fine. They do take alot of kids and we both got our applications in early so I don't see any reason why neither of us should get it. My interview is monday... lol, Good Luck!!

Anyone here get accepted? I got into Disneyland Attractions
Congrats! Hopefully I'll be there with you, I have my phone interview tomorrow. How long after the phone interview did it take you to hear back from them?

Edit: Just realized you said Disneyland and not WDW. I'll be in WDW so I will not be there with you haha.

Exactly a week, to the hour. Good luck on your interview!
Unfortunately, I don't think I did so well. I was really awkward on the phone, which is unlike me because I did theater all through high school and I'm usually not like that at all. I never lacked an answer but I feel like I totally rambled through a couple of the questions and gave sub-par answers. Oh well, whatever happens, happens. I would just be upset because I know I'd be great for the job and I know that I could have done better on the phone interview.

For anyone in the know... I know that the Disney Look is very strict. I'm curious as to whether my current hairstyle would be accepted. Looks something like this:

Except mine doesn't really have the wavy look that goes all the way to the back of the head, it's just on the front part

I think that's ok? Not 100% sure though.

  • Hair must be neatly cut on the back and sides, forming a smooth, symmetrical appearance so that it does not extend beyond or cover any part of the ears or the shirt collar. The overall style must be neat, natural and balanced proportionally.
  • A shaved head is permitted, as well as a very short military-style cut. Shaving of the eyebrows is not permitted
  • Conservative braided hairstyles for men without beads or ornamentation are permitted. They must be styled above the ears and cut above the collar and be neatly braided close to the scalp in straight rows.
  • Tucking hair behind the ears, or pinning or tucking it under a hat to conceal an unacceptable hairstyle will not be permitted.
  • Extreme or bi-level styles are not permitted.
  • Hair products may be used to create a soft, natural hairstyle within these guidelines.
  • Artificial hair is permitted if it looks natural and meets all of the above requirements.
  • The Disney Look does not permit extremes in dyeing, bleaching or coloring. If the hair color is changed, it must be natural looking and well-maintained. Subtle highlighting or frosting is permitted, as long as it creates a uniform look over the whole head and meets all of the previously listed guidelines.
