QSF&B might not be as bad as you think. My roommate got that last Spring, like a lot of people, she said yes to it when the recruiter asked her, but she figured she just make the most of her job and experience. She ended up at EPCOT in ODF (outdoor food- the carts) mainly Future World and African Outpost and actually really didn't mind it after she got use to the job. If you got any Q's AIM me: schroder645

The more I think about it, the more I think it wouldn't have been so bad. Of course, that could mostly be due to the fact that there's 3 feet of snow outside my window  If I knew specifically what I was doing, it would have been different. I was just afraid that I would be stuck behind the counter somewhere, cooking burgers. Working like an ice cream cart or something wouldn't have been bad. On hot days, I'd be the most popular guy in the park!

Sorry to jump in but I wanted to know how you answered the roomate question? It's the kind of question they're probably going to be asking me so I would be interested to know how you handeled it?

Well, I was just completely honest with the guy. I said that I'm the kind of kid that's easy to get along with, and has no trouble trying to sleep or anything with a lot of noise. I said that if it got to the point where I couldn't sleep, I would ask them to try to quiet down a little.

To which he then asked what I would do if they didn't quiet down, and it happened all the time.

I said that if it got to be that much of a problem, I would see what I could do about being moved somewhere else. But, that would be an absolute last resort.

He seemed to like my answer, but as long as your honest with your answers, I don't think there is a right or wrong response to the question.

  Getting accepted is the easy part! Getting the role you want is where it gets tricky!

I'm seriously considering hospitality as my first choice too. I have always wanted to work at the Polynesian... doing anything at all.

Where's your ideal place to work?!
Animal Kingdom Lodge :) But I will take ANY role if it is offered.

I put in my application online last night. I'm planning to go to a presentation on March 14. I'm excited about the prospect of being down there. I just have a few reservations about it. How about some of you? I'm 22, about to graduate in May, so school wouldn't pose a problem.

quick question: Is there a minimum age required to be a part of the CP? I will be 17 when I first enter college! Thanks!

I definitely have some reservations about going down. My classes aren't going to be much of a problem for me either. I'm going to be a senior in the fall, and i'll get a full semester's worth of credit, just by being down in Disney. It'll be great to get away from the cold weather too!

...Come to think of it... I don't really have any reservations at all...

Hey!!! I'm going to the presentation at my school tomorrow! I did the online application on February 1st, so now it's just the presentation and interview. I'd love to be a face character. Does anyone know what the character greeter does exactly? And with hospitality, where would you work? It's so cool that we might all meet! Are you all doing the 5 or 8 month program?

Hey! Welcome to the Boards!

I personally know nothing about what the character greeters do, but am looking into doing hospitality, myself. From what I gather, you would be doing a number of jobs within the resorts, like front desk, or luggage... etc..

I'm hopefully interviewing next tuesday... if not.. I have to wait until April :hurl: But... I'll be doing the 5 month! Everyone here who ends up doing the fall CP should all meet up... I think it would be fun!

I had my interview last monday and was also going for Hospitality. You can do anything from front desk to check in, ticket sales to luggage stuff as well in any one of the 21+ resorts + DVC resorts. Now its just time for mw to wait *sigh* :)

Hey all Fall 2005 Possible CPs-

Just wanted to wish you luck on your interviews. I'm an alumnus from Spring Advantage 2004 and a Campus Rep at NCSU. If you have any questions, post it here. I check these boards frequently.

Meeting up is a great way to meet new CP's before your program starts. Check out www.disneyalumni.com on their message boards. Once acceptance letters start mailing out, you'll see a lot of people organizing group meetups.

Good luck all!

I want to do luggage at the Polynesian so I can drive the golf carts... and wear the Hawaiian shirts!

And, David... thanks for that link!

Those Pargos (not golf carts) :p are fun to drive. I only got to drive a couple times, and that was in the parking lot and where no guests were. Yeah, I didn't trust myself by guests considering I had gotten my license about a month and a half before that. If you do get to drive one, man you have to step on the break real hard to stop.

As some of you know I am planning to do the CP. But one quick question....My presentation isn't until April yet the audition for dancers is in March. What do i do if my audition comes before the presentation?? Anyone know?? Or does anyone know anyone I can contact regarding this??
