I applied, and was accepted for the Spring program, but I got fast food services, and I really didn't want to do that. So, I'm going to reapply for the Fall, and hopefully get something other than that.

My interview is April 11th, what about you??

I plan to apply soon, but I was wondering how you already got your date for your interview? Don't you sign up for interviews at the presentation?

Well they have the dates of the presentations posted on the college program's website:

Just click on the link that says "Review our Presentation Schedule" It'll take you to a list of all the schools in all the states, and the date and room number each presentation will be at.

Before you go, you have to fill out an on-line application and bring it with you to the presentation.

When I went, they had a sign up sheet for the interviews right after the presentation. So, for me, they were done in the same day. There were two cast members conducting interviews and about 12 kids there. The interview took no more than 10 minutes. They just asked a few simple questions. Hope this helps! :wave:

For the A.I., what kind of materials do I need to bring for the interview, or will that all be explained to me at the interview?

And how detailed/professional should my resume be? Are they going to be looking more for qualifications or personality?

1) Why do want to work at Disney?

2) Where would you most want to work, and what would you prefer to do? (What park, and what job)

3) The guy then gave me a scenario, and asked me what I would do in the situation. He said like: "Say you're working at Space Mountain, and the ride has been shut down for repairs, and you don't know when it will re-open. A family comes up to you, asking when it will be open again. They tell you how they came all the way to Disney World from Boston to ride Space Mountain. What would you do?

After that, he asked me a few questions about roomate situations. Like, what would you do if you had work early in the morning, and your roomates were being loud, and wouldn't be quiet. Or, What if the air conditioning was on, and you were freezing, but your roomates were hot. Stuff like that.

Well, I said that I would have told the family what I knew, which would probably be nothing! :lol: I said that I would tell the family that, the ride was closed, and I'm not sure when it's going to be back in operation. And then I said that, if I could do it, I would give them fastpasses, so they could come back and ride it anytime they wanted to, once the ride was working again.

....He told me that was the perfect answer! I was really proud of myself :king:

Good luck with your interview and application process! I've wanted to work in Disney from as far back as I can remember, too. I was disappointed to be accepted, but for fast food/counter service. I'm going to re-apply this fall, and hopefully be able to work at one of the rides.

So does than mean you urned down your Spring 04 offer and are going to reapply for the fall 05 in hopes of getting operations? Also what were your top 3 choices when you interviewed? And BTW good luck and I hope to see you for the fall 05 session! (And don't worry operations is not in my top 3 choices so you will have even higher chance of getting oberations!

Yeah, I was accepted for this session, Spring '05. Fast food/counter service wasn't one of my top 3... it was actually the last thing I wanted to do. The interviewer asked me if I would be willing to do it, if there was nothing else available. I told him I would, but realized right after I said it, that I would end up doing it... since I don't imagine alot of people would be looking to do that. My top three choices were operations, hospitality and custodial.

What are you hoping to get when you interview?

The interview is the easiest part! Now, not getting quick service food and beverage... well.. :lookaroun thats another story :lol:

I would love to work in entertainment as a parade performer! I am a dance major and that is what i am hoping I can do. I also know that it could be really hard to get a job in entertainment down there. :veryconfu

But I wouldn't mind working a store either. I work in retail now and have been for 5 months and suprisingly I don't hate it yet.

I think being a parade performer would be awesome. If I had any sort of dance talent, I'd probably consider it.. :lol: I have no clue how difficult it is to get entertainment down there, but good luck.. you'll have to keep me posted on how everything works out for you! I'll be rootin for ya! :wave:
