I was just wondering if anyone else was going to apply for the Fall 2005 Program. I think I am and I really hope I get in!

I plan to apply soon, but I was wondering how you already got your date for your interview? Don't you sign up for interviews at the presentation?Dreamflight4Eva said:I applied, and was accepted for the Spring program, but I got fast food services, and I really didn't want to do that. So, I'm going to reapply for the Fall, and hopefully get something other than that.
My interview is April 11th, what about you??
Good luck with it! With any luck, we'll both be down there in the fall.

Dreamflight4Eva said:Well they have the dates of the presentations posted on the college program's website:
http://www.wdwcollegeprogram.com/sap/its/mimes/zh_wdwcp/students/frameset/frameset_apply.html
Just click on the link that says "Review our Presentation Schedule" It'll take you to a list of all the schools in all the states, and the date and room number each presentation will be at.
Before you go, you have to fill out an on-line application and bring it with you to the presentation.
When I went, they had a sign up sheet for the interviews right after the presentation. So, for me, they were done in the same day. There were two cast members conducting interviews and about 12 kids there. The interview took no more than 10 minutes. They just asked a few simple questions. Hope this helps!
If you have any questions about anything having to do with the application process, INCLUDING the specific questions they asked me... just let me know!
Dreamflight4Eva said:They asked me a few questions about a couple topics:
1) Why do want to work at Disney?
2) Where would you most want to work, and what would you prefer to do? (What park, and what job)
3) The guy then gave me a scenario, and asked me what I would do in the situation. He said like: "Say you're working at Space Mountain, and the ride has been shut down for repairs, and you don't know when it will re-open. A family comes up to you, asking when it will be open again. They tell you how they came all the way to Disney World from Boston to ride Space Mountain. What would you do?
After that, he asked me a few questions about roomate situations. Like, what would you do if you had work early in the morning, and your roomates were being loud, and wouldn't be quiet. Or, What if the air conditioning was on, and you were freezing, but your roomates were hot. Stuff like that.

Samtron said:I applied for fall of 05 and my presantion/Interview is on the 1th of this month. What is weird I have the presantion/interview 4 HOURS after I land back from WDW! At least i will be full of pixki dust! I have started a kind on a web article series on The Road to the WDWCP found at www.MikeDemo.com.
I am really excited and really hope that i get accepted. I have been waiting since high school to apply!
Dreamflight4Eva said:Good luck with your interview and application process! I've wanted to work in Disney from as far back as I can remember, too. I was disappointed to be accepted, but for fast food/counter service. I'm going to re-apply this fall, and hopefully be able to work at one of the rides.
Dreamflight4Eva said:Well, I said that I would have told the family what I knew, which would probably be nothing! I said that I would tell the family that, the ride was closed, and I'm not sure when it's going to be back in operation. And then I said that, if I could do it, I would give them fastpasses, so they could come back and ride it anytime they wanted to, once the ride was working again.
....He told me that was the perfect answer! I was really proud of myself :king:
Samtron said:So does than mean you urned down your Spring 04 offer and are going to reapply for the fall 05 in hopes of getting operations? Also what were your top 3 choices when you interviewed? And BTW good luck and I hope to see you for the fall 05 session! (And don't worry operations is not in my top 3 choices so you will have even higher chance of getting oberations!
danzingcutie12 said:Thanks!!! that was a good answer!! :sohappy:
I just put in my online application...I hope I get accepted. I am so nervous and I haven't even been to an interview yet! :lookaroun
Dreamflight4Eva said:hehe I'm glad you liked my answer!
I was really nervous when I went into the interview. But, one he asked me why I wanted to work for Disney.. I knew it would be a piece of cake!
The interview is the easiest part! Now, not getting quick service food and beverage... well.. :lookaroun thats another story
What areas are you looking to work in?!
danzingcutie12 said:I would love to work in entertainment as a parade performer! I am a dance major and that is what i am hoping I can do. I also know that it could be really hard to get a job in entertainment down there. :veryconfu
But I wouldn't mind working a store either. I work in retail now and have been for 5 months and suprisingly I don't hate it yet.
Dreamflight4Eva said:I think being a parade performer would be awesome. If I had any sort of dance talent, I'd probably consider it.. I have no clue how difficult it is to get entertainment down there, but good luck.. you'll have to keep me posted on how everything works out for you! I'll be rootin for ya!
Merchandise would be pretty cool to do, also, since you'd get alot of interaction with the guests, which is what I want to be doing. But, then again, when you get to spend a semester in Disney World, while getting course credit for it... I'd do just about anything
