Fake trees !!!!

When i was visiting walt disney world this summer , my youngest son was walking on a bench. He lost his balance and was about to fall when he grabbed a leaf which stopped him from falling. i went closer to look and i felt it and looked it was fake . i couldnt believe it it looks so real . i spent the other of my 1 week vacation touching trees to see if they were real and this was the only one i sae that was actually fake

So, you're saying that there's a fake plant at WDW?? That's it, i'm never going there again!!

J/k- maybe every plant at WDW can't look perfect and healthy 365 days a year, so they sometimes replace them with fake ones. Its better then walking by a dead plant, I suppose. -Steph

WDW prides itself on landscaping. Most of the plants, grasses and tree are real. Disney will substitute real ones if the species cannot grow in the Florida climate. Rather than picking a different species, Disney will often recreate a fake one and place it among attractions.

Also, some trees that you see are not even planted but only potted. Take for instance the pine trees above the rocks in the Canada Pavillion. They are potted (although you can not tell) because if one tree is "ill" another takes its place until they can recover.

I am curious to know where this tree that you found was. I try to look for things like that.

That's interesting. I once found a fake cast member in front of the Hall of Presidents. He looked real, but when I approached him he just stood there. I went back a year later and they moved him to Splash Mountain. Maybe Disney was short on real cast members so they made some fake ones. In any case, he looked real.

You might have something here... Disney clones people to be cast members. Brilliant! Although, they may break down more than the animitronics at the Hall of Presidents. This is worse than a Michael Jackson Triller video.

Reminds me of the time I was telling my family how the butterflies they see at the entrance gates are actually miniature animatronics. "Everything at disney is fake". :lol:

...not everything. Former President William Jefferson Clinton hasn't had much to do with his wife taking over the country. So, they removed the Clinton animitronic at the Hall of Presidents and he does the show now; although he forgets his lines a lot and frequents the Castle looking for a blonde with glass slippers.

AHHH fake trees.. what were they thinking? Oh yeah, I remember now there are a couple of them, really big ones, one you can go inside of and the other you can climb up and see a really cool tree house.
