Anyone know how long the facade will be up around RNRC? I hope they get this done soon. Im leaving in 8 days for the world and Im starting to get disappointed for the family thats going with us. They have never been and I hate for them to have their first visit seeing everything like this. Its one thing to have the Magic Kingdom under tarps due to the 40th, yada yada, but atleast let the other parks be tarp free for awhile!

I would imagine if it were going to be there for a while they would have put a screen there with a photo of the guitar, like they seem to do everywhere else.

Actually you're not that far off. This area is planned for refurb for the NextGen project as well.

The guitar will be covered until the ride reopens after its refurb, currently scheduled to be reopened on May 21st. During the time of the refurb the gates to the courtyard will be closed and a lot of work will be done then.

Is Aerosmith going to be replaced with another band? I hope not. It's one of our favorite rides by one of our favorite bands. We love their music.

I sure hope the renovations are not to install a more permanant version of what they did a few months ago with rock band station and plasma screens announcing group numbers...that was crap.

I hope it is making everything nice and fresh.

They're currently installing a big sign for Hannah Montana on the front of the guitar, so it will take a while.

If they did get rid of Aerosmith(Who I dont think I could care any less about) I hope they make it interactive like the universal coaster where you can pick your own music and genre to listen to. Actually if they were for sure doing that, Id hope Aerosmith would get the boot asap. Other than the bumpiness, the noise is the one thing I hate about the coaster. Even if it is apart of the theme.

I think they should go for a fictional band. Sure it is not as cool to ride with a fictional band but there would be no shame in making them insanely funny and ridiculous. Go for spinal tap style without the raunchiness. Still display real music act memorabilia and posters in the queue to reinforce the G-force records theme but make the actual band fictional.

Not as marketable, but a better investment because it would not be easily dated as a real music act.

Isn't the Universal coaster you are referring to suffering from frequent downtime issues?

I think tarps now and then are better than dirty, faded paint. I do not see why Walt Disney World guests hate this so much. Things need maintenance.

I have no idea, I've never been on it, I just remember reading that you can choose what you want to listen to. That would be a welcome addition to rockin coaster if they could do that.
