Extra prices for Christmas party?!?

I can't even beging to describe how much this angers me and how sad I would be if they went along with it.

Part of the whole Christmas experience at the resort is the parade and fireworks. Believe....in Holiday Magic is my favorite fireworks show ever. And I love CFP. Only being able to see these once after paying for a ticket would kill it.

Although, having less crowds on party nights would be nice. But still. They can't just take away all their holiday offerings. I don't think it's fair at all. Doesn't give everyone else as good of a visit during Christmas.

The Halloween parties work well because they didn't take away a much loved parade. The fireworks is another story... But still. Those parties work because you get to show up in costume and visit candy stations and whatnot. You can't do that for Christmas parties.

This is the worst idea Disney has come up with.

Perhaps. And yet they've been doing the exact same thing at Walt Disney World for years.

You can order your tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party for the discounted Internet price of just $53.95, before tax. Hurry, supplies are limited!
But for MVMCP were the fireworks and parade created just for the parties? Or were they offered in previous years to everyone before MVMCP came along? This issue I have with this is that they've offered CFP and Believe...IHM for years. It has become part of everyone's Christmas tradition at Disneyland. And now we have to pay extra just to see them. Had there have been no entertainment offerings before, I wouldn't see an issue with this.

This.
During December, I go to DL 3 times a week. I enjoy the fireworks and the decorations. I get a peppermint hot chocolate and watch the lights on the castle. Most nights I take a book and just sit and read. I just like being there late at night.
This October, I visited the park rarely due to the party on Friday nights. After seeing the Halloween fireworks in 2009, I was disappointed not to see them in 2010.
If each season has nights I need a hard ticket for and shows I can't see with my AP, my AP won't be as valuable to me.

I'm not sure where the anger comes from here. Disney is bringing to CA what they have been doing in FLorida now for years with Mickey's Very Merry CHristmas Party -- and YES, those holiday-themed events DID exist at the magic Kingdom before they started MVMCP and now, if you want to see them, you DO need to buy a separate ticket for MVMCP.

It sells out almost every single evening they offer it, and it was designed to bring in the locals rather than the tourists to MK during the holidays.

They are only brining to CA what has been in FL for many years now. Ultimately, Disney is about corporate money, not necessarily making everyone happy at holiday times. And they will make a bucket load of it with this offering.
