Extra Magic Hours Wristbands

Hi All. I have a question. My family and I are arriving in Orlando on May 7th around 3:30pm. We planned on heading to our hotel, All Stars Movies, checking in, getting freshed up and then heading to Chef Mickeys for our reservation at 6:20pm. May 7th is extra Magic Hr at Magic Kingdom at night. Will we be able to get wristbands after our dinner or do you have to be in the park before they start giving them out, to receive one? We had planned on going there after Dinner to try and catch a few rides and not let one of our park tickets go to waste.

Thanks

I'm not exactly positive but we were just there a few weeks ago and I remember seeing people coming into the parks at closing to get their wristbands. To be sure I would ask when you check in and they should be able to tell you but it will probably be fine. Have a great time and enjoy Chef Mickey's we love it!!:)

You don't need to be in the park to get a wristband. Before regular park close, they distribute them within the park (so that guests already in the park don't have to go back to the main turnstiles). After regular park close, they distribute them at the turnstiles. Just be sure that all in your party remember their resort ID.

The attractions vary from park to park and from night to night. To get the most recent ones, go to the disney site: disneyworld.com, and click under calendar. It will list the extended hours for each park for each month, and the attractions they expect to be open during your stay.

i was in AK for the day, went back to my room and put my jeans on and got the bus to MK coz it was EMH's and got a wrist band. after your dinner go to MK and there is normally a wrist band line with CM's scanning room keys on the left (picture it as if you are taking the left side turn-styles and before you go under the railroad) there is the queue for wrist bands. they are also around the park and wrist bands are given out 2 hours before the park closes or what you could do depending if MK shuts at 8pm be the first in line at 6pm for the wrist bands then go for ya dinner. unless you dont wanna take the chance, its up to you.

rides open in MK on EMH's (when i was there:
spalsh, big thunder and space mountain, country bears jambouree, dumbo, philar magic, golden carousel,COP, tea cups, snow white, small world, peter pan, buzz lightyear, stitch, indy speedway,TTA (certain times), loads more just ask for a EMH's guide which says what rides are running during that time.
loads of characters are out signing autographs and with no long lines.
