Depends on the time of year you're visiting and also the actual time that the EMH run till.

For example - during Peak summer. Easter or Christmas times the parks will remain very busy during EMH. If the EMH run midnight until 3 am then parks will be a lot quieter towards the end than they would if they only run EMH 9pm until midnight. A lot depends on what time people normally retire to bed

A good rule of thumb to follow for late nite EMH - when there is a second nighttime parade, get on the busiest rides with least amount of wait

This is really the best rule to go by. The later the parks are open, the less crowded they are. Unfortunately you only see post midnight closings at the MK and Studios. Epcot tends to be less crowded as the night goes on as well...except for Soarin. Expect a long line for that no matter what.

My class and I just recently took a trip in March...it was my first time to Disney World, but the magic Kingdom was open till 3 a.m. and we were there at the start of the extra magic hours all way unitl close and it was so busy, all ride waits were really long.
