Anyone who will be in the area, PI's fireworks will be triple the norm this Saturday. I saw the same showing this past Saturday and it was impressive. A manager told me the extended fireworks are for Black Music Month.

Anyone who was planning to come out to PI, make it Saturday night!

i was wondering why they were so long last weekend. It was annoying. Though i did get out of my bed to go look out the window to watch.

Fireworks are everynight at midnight...grr

Well, everynight at midnight they throw a couple sparklers in the air and turn up the music. This lasts about 30 seconds.

Last Saturday night and this Saturday night they are putting on extended fireworks that are WORTH getting out of bed to see! It seemed like a good five minute show last weekend. The fireworks seem lower to the ground and more impressive at PI than at the other parks for some reason.

Fireworks are every night at midnight to kick of the new year....yup that is right every janey friken cotten pickin night..... So if they are 3times what they have been that would make them almost half as much as they used to be. Wow I miss the only New Years party with the dancers and the fireworks....we would actually leave AC to go out and see them. Now that they are just a smatering of fireworks it is not worth it. Bring back the PI dancers and some good music to PI that would help bring in the crowds none of this lets change all of our stores to something else junk!!!!!

We happened to be leaving PI right at midnight last Saturday, and our bus driver actually slowed the bus down as we were leaving the bus stop. She was audibly surprised and said something like "The fireworks factory must have blown up!" Personally, I didn't think it was all that impressive, but it was definitely much longer than the normal PI fizzle at midnight. It was definitely loud though. I definitely prefer Wishes or ROE for wow factor. The fireworks at PI have about as much oomph as the fireworks at the end of Fantasmic (some of you may be saying, "fireworks at Fantasmic?!"). Anyway, kudos to Disney for trying, especially for something like Black Music Month.

I didn't think they really advertised it.. that is the reason I posted the info. When I was there last weekend CM's were popping out of doors and looking worried. (to be honest I was a little worried too). I asked a couple of CM's that came running what was the occasion and they said they had NO IDEA and hoped there was nothing wrong! I assumed there was a convention that paid for extra fireworks until a manager set me straight.
