Extra Fast Pass

I had a thought about manipulating the FP system and was wondering if it would work...sorry if it's been posted before. I know that in order to get the extra FP, you have to use your intial 3. But I was wondering if for example, at Epcot, if I schedule a FP for Soarin' during the 9-10 window and don't set up my other passes if I could use said FP in that timeframe and then go back and schedule another FP for say, Test Track or Soarin' again. Since they're in the same Tier, I know I can't have 2 passes simultaneously, but I really don't want to schedule FP's for any other rides.

You can't schedule just one FP. It will select a group of 3 for you.

You're of course assuming that there are still FP+ available for these attractions

You book 3 FP, as required, then use the first FP for Soarin'. You can then cancel the other 2 FP+'s via the app and then try for an additional Tier 1 attraction in Epcot via a kiosk. It seems like an awful lot of work, but from what I've read, it's the only was to do it.
