Express vs. Resort Monorail

I couldn't tell you the last time I actually took the Express monorail from the Magic Kingdom to the TTC. I take the Express from TTC to MK all the time mid-day when park hopping, but when leaving the MK it always seems like we're either hopping on the Resort monorail to get to dinner at one of the resorts, or we're taking the Resort monorail to the TTC after MK closing to then hop to Epcot because the line is shorter than the Express.

Thanks everyone for your posts! Like I said, I was fairly sure they hadn't changed it but lately they've done some stupid things when it came to this sort of thing so I wanted to be sure! Thanks!

Then when you are staying @ the Contemporary and you are waiting to take the monorail to Epcot, Poly or GF and you are waiting for a 1/2 hour or more to get on the monorail. There has been a few time in the evening when the monorails just keep pulling into the Contemporary at capacity and nobody gets off. Then you end up waiting as the line in the Contemporary is backed up. It can be very frustrating as a resort guest.

Isn't there a CM at the monorail entrance directing non resort guests to the Express side?

What would you consider a "non resort guest" to be? There are plenty of legitimate reasons for guests to want to take a monorail to a resort that do not include actually having a hotel room there...

I should have said a guest not traveling to a monorails resort. Many guests leave MK to go to the Contemporary, Poly and GF for dinner or to just walk around.

If the resort monorail did not stop at the T&TC, then how would resort guests get to EPCOT via monorail? I wouldn't be in favor of walking from the Grand Floridian to the T&TC :(

It is also the only way a monorail resort guest can get to Epcot since there is not bus transportation there unless they have a rental car.

Walking from the GF is more feasible since it at least has sidewalks to the TTC but it is a feirly long walk. The CR has nothing but roadway between it and the TTC

Yes again as I said a few times above... I was questioning what I believed was true only because they've made some pretty odd decisions lately when it came to the monorails so I was confirming I wasn't wrong in that it did. :D
