The Universal Express Pass is exactly like Disney's Fastpass. They have the same rules and everything, but Disney's Fastpass lines are a bit longer that Universal.

Ahem, main difference is the following:

The machines make you swpe your card, instead of it eating it for you.

You can choose 1 of 3 return times.

Okay, now you got me curious.

First, is the swipe thing like what we do with our credit cards and grocery store cards--swiping the magnetic strip, right?

Second, does every paid admission get to use his or her pass to get the Express Pass? Or is this a privilege for Uni Resort Hotel guests and people with connections?

Third, what do you mean by "1 of 3 return times?" If it's like Fast Pass, does this mean they give you three different hours to come back and use your Express Pass? Or are the return times shorter incriments, like 15-30 minute windows? Give us an example, such as, "when I went to 'Men In Black,' I swiped my card and had the following info on the Express Pass..."

Cool thread and postings, though. I know this is a relatively new system for Universal. We're planning to go on our next WDW trip. Haven't been to these parks since we live 15 minutes away from Universal Hollywood. But some of the attractions exclusive to Uni-Orlando are taunting us and mocking us. They just sound too cool.

I used it, it was neat and it was awsome to swipe your card thru n pick one of your ride you want to ride then some returning time. I like it but the disney fast pass is cool too. i like both of em

Nice name :)

but...to tell you the truth, I've only had to use this on Ripsaw Falls...there wasn't a line ANYWHERE else in the entire park.

And, when I used it, a CM took my card from me and didn't swipe it or anything, he just punched something into the machine.

Probably because Disneys parks are busier and more popular
