I am going to Disney World at the end of this month and im going to IOA also. I was thinking about buying the new express pass booklet for IOA? How many rides at IOA offer Express Pass and is this a good deal?

thanks

Here is this little tidbit from Screamscape:

>>>After a little digging and help from a few readers we have confirmed that both of the Universal Orlando parks are selling the Universal Express VIP Packs. Each pack contains one ticket for each of the Express rides in the park, good for that day only. A pack of tickets for USF will run you $21 and a pack for IOA is $25.<<<

If you ask me, even with the instant access, it is a ripoff. Maybe for $15 it would be a decent value, but not for over $20.

But if it helps get Boffo Socko built, I guess it is okay...

Yeah, but if the price was cheaper then everyone would get one and then the instant access queue would be longer than the ordinary line. Doesn't make sense.

I could swear that you people have described Express Pass as a copy of Fast Pass. And now you're saying that Universal is charging extra for Express Pass privileges.

So how does it really go? If it's like Fast Pass, then do we take our admission tickets up to a machine and punch in/swipe to get a "return time" pass. Or do we need special "golden tickets" purchased at the ticket booths?

Or is the difference here that with these so-called books of Express Passes, you're allowed access to the Express Pass return lines any time you choose rather than the "freebie" punch in and get the time "they" choose.

In other words, I don't freakin' get it! Is Express Pass free or not. If it is free, then what's the point in buying these passes?

Well when they put their card in its techniallly their decision.. Not Disney's. They supply it.. Take it or leave it. The person decides when to get their fast pass. = The time they come back to ride.

Are they still doing the "stay at a Universal hotel & move to the front of the line" deal? I think that would be a much better value than buying an Express Pass for both parks.
