Expedition Everest Opt Out

My girlfriend and I will be hitting the World in October and she's never ridden Everest (it's her first time to AK). I don't want to actually ride Everest as I have problems with my back but I would like to go through the line with her. Is there a way to go through the line and then opt out when we get to the loading area? I know that other rides like Mission:SPACE have this feature but not sure about Everest.

There isn't really a designated "exit here or ride" point in the Everest queue. However, there is access from the loading station to the ride exit. Just tell a cast member before you're grouped into a car.

I know for sure that Everest has this, just ask a CM like someone else has said. Also to note, Im pretty confident that disney offers this with all of their thrilling rides, and more than likely all their rides in general. They more than likely have a high number of people whether they be little kids or grown kids that change their minds at the last minute so Im thinking You'll be safe.

You can go with your party all the way until you get to the point that they're loading. Tell them you're not riding and they let you out a little exit which leads towards the gift shop. It's where I waited last time Love wanted to ride EE.

Disney can't force you to ride something you don't want, so there's ALWAYS a way to back out. Just tell them you're not riding and they'll direct you appropriately. Some are more planned and others are back doors but it's always an option.

If the ride has a long lone like it usually does during busy times, you could also opt for the single rider line since only she will be riding. She could get on the ride in as little as 5-10 minutes using this while the main queue may be an hour or more (I've seen it at 90-120 minutes during the summer months coming up here). The single rider entrance is just to the left of the store (if you cant find it I'm sure a cast member can direct you). You could still follow her through the queue and opt out once she was near the loading platform and this would save you time so you can enjoy the rest of yoru day together.

If you don't want to ride any attraction, the CM's are usually very accommodating. I'm sure they would have no problem with showing you the way out even if there is no designated "chicken" exit.
