Expedition Everest Challenge 2010 question

Help! I'm looking for information regarding June's Expedition Everest Challenge entry fee. The entry is $229 for each 2 person team, which includes the cost of two park tickets to AK. Problem is: We're both passholders and don't see the use of spending that much for non-transferable, non-refundable tickets that we can't use and can't give as a gift to anyone else.

If anyone else knows if you can gain entry to the 5k without purchasing the park tickets, please let me know. Thanks for any help.

Hello,

I can only tell you what happened to me last year. My family and I ran the Everest Challenge and we (4) all have passes. I made calls and sent out emails asking the same questions. Disney told me that there was no way out of buying the tickets. So, since we really wanted to do the race, we paid the money.

After talking to several other passholders about this I took someones advice and went out to a discount pass place on 192 and sold the passes to them for $40.00 each. I don't know if this was against any rules or not, but I was happy to get that money. It helped off-set the Big price tag of the race.

To tell you the truth, I was a little ticked off that Disney was forcing me to buy a pass when I didn't need one. It didn't stop me, but Disney shouldn't force it on people whom only want to enjoy the race and don't need a ticket.

With all the said, I highly recommend the race, it was a blast and the medal is really cool.
