We weren’t kidding when we told you there would be more Passholder-exclusive pins to come! So we’d like to introduce the second in the series – the Epcot® Tapestry of Dreams Parade Passholder Pin, in commemoration of the role Epcot® is playing in the 100 years of Magic Celebration. The pin-on-pin design features Leonardo Columbus from the Tapestry of Dreams Parade, waving his magic wand amidst a background of billowing clouds. This limited edition pin is available for purchase beginning February 15, 2002 for $8.50 (plus tax) until the supply runs out. It also features our official “Walt Disney World® Pin Trading” backstamp. Only 7,500 of these pins are being issued, and there is a limit of two per Passholder.

There’s more good news. Due to overwhelming response, we’re carrying over our first pin in the series, the “100 Years of Magic – Mickey Painting.” This open-edition pin is available for $10.50 (plus tax) through December 2002.

Both pins will be on sale at one location in each of our four Disney Theme Parks: Town Square Exposition Hall in the Magic Kingdom® Park, Pin Central in Epcot®, Island Mercantile in Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park and The Sorcerer’s Hat in the Disney-MGM Studios. All you have to do is show up and present your valid Passholder ID.

I have a question about the passholder tickets...Would it be wise of me to purchase an AP ticket if I only go down to WDW twice a year...(I'm there for approximately a week each time) I just don't really know the prices...But another thing, I stay on property one week and off property one week. (Didn't know if that makes a difference)

And another question...what do you actually get with an AP ticket?

You can check the disney.com website for the prices and a list of benefits. I think you have to go to the parks 7 or 8 days for the AP to pay for itself. So if you are going two weeks out of the year then it would be worth it. Also keep in mind, you don't have to renew the pass every calendar year. So you could go say July 1st this year, get an AP (which will be good until June 30 next year), then go again in December, and then go again the next June :sohappy: You get three trips on one AP.

As far as where you stay, it doesn't matter. In fact I think that passholders do not have to pay for parking at any of the parks.

Yes, the AP can actually pay for itself much quicker than that even. When you consider the 10% off at the World of Disney store and the resort discount (currently 30%!), and the free parking, you can save some dough as well as being treated to a few extra perks. We'll be renewing next year.

The Epcot one has been sold out for quite a few months now. However, the first one (featuring the Sorceror's Hat) is stil available as that one is NOT an LE. It will be on sale for the rest of the celebration.

As a Merchandising CM, a LOT of people ask me about the AP pins under the SorcHat.

The funny thing about being a CM now is that I STILL have access to the AP lounge since I am techincally still a Passholder.
